The Enugu State Police Command have arrested a pregnant woman, Mrs Mercy Chintua, over allegation of assault on her neighbour, whom she alleged, spied on her while she was taking her bath.

Witnesses said that Chintua, who resides at Akwuke, Awkunanaw axis of Enugu State, poured hot water on the victim, Emmanuel Anyebe, for allegedly peeping on her while she was having her bath.

State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ebere Amaraizu confirmed the incident. According to him, “Mercy poured hot water on the victim as he was going to bath. She alleged that the victim was peeping into the bathroom while she was having her bath.

“The hot water inflicted serious body burns on the victim. As a result of the injuries sustained from the act, he was unconscious and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The victim has denied ever peeping on the woman during bath.

“The suspect has, however, pleaded for leniency as she ascribed her actions to demonic spirit in her,” Amaraizu said.

It is becoming a common practice for adults to plant kisses on children’s lips.

Children enjoy being kissed even when they have no idea what it means. A little baby would smile or laugh when an adult plants a kiss on him or her.

Most parents kiss their children as a sign of affection but they will cringe when they see others kissing their little babies on the lips. Some others will however not even be bothered about it.

Some people would not mind if the kiss is from grandparents, siblings and other family members but they would not accept it when it’s coming from friends and peers.

Though some will point out, “I don’t want people kissing my baby on the lips because it is not healthy,” but deep down, you know that is not the main reason. Some parents feel like kissing their children on the lip is something intimate that an outsider shouldn’t do without permission.

Recently, there was this photo of a popular TV personality, Sammy Walsh kissing the 3-year-old son of Ice Prince on the lips. It quickly sparked a lot of reactions. Some said there was nothing wrong with it as he was a little child and besides his family was not complaining.

Some others were not comfortable with it as they pointed out that Sammy and the little boy were not related.

Children of all ages see adults kissing one another and most children also receive kisses from parents and other adults. This sends a message that kissing is acceptable.

But when is it not okay for an adult to kiss a child on the lips?

As a parent, at what age should you stop giving your children kisses on the lips?

What kind of kiss is acceptable for a child?

The decision of a Biology teacher in Adamawa State to practicalise his biology lessons has led to the infection of 13 students with HIV/AIDS.

The incident occurred at Tappare-Ganye Community Islamic Centre.

The teacher, Alhassan Adamu, was said to have started sexually assaulting his victims eight years ago, but it came into the open when one of his victims,scheduled to get married on March 13, started manifesting illness that was later discovered to be HIV/AIDS.

The husband demanded health screening and laboratory test before the wedding.
This led to the discovery of the teacher’s dirty game.
The police spokesman in the state, DSP Othman Abubakar, said that the suspect was helping the State Criminal Investigation Department in its investigation.
Abubakar warned female students to be wary of randy teachers who would lure them on pretext of “mark grading”.

A woman dumped her husband after she accused him of cheating. Now, she wants to use embryos, which were fertilized with her ex-husband’s sperm and frozen before she left him. According to Scoop,37-year-old Tracy Bray of Scotland, who suffers from infertility, posits that her only hope of having children is to use the five fertilized eggs, which were frozen before she split from her former husband, Michael.

Under the legal terms of their separation, Michael, 36, has agreed that she can use the eggs, but only until the end of next year. Bray said that it is not enough time, and has requested legal advice to challenge the deadline to about 5 years.
Bray separated from Michael last year, after he allegedly had an affair. Both are now in new relationships and have filed for divorce.
Bray and Michael were together for about 10 years before they separated. The couple had one child together. The baby named Matthew, was born prematurely and lived for only 16 hours. Tracy said that she and her estranged husband promised Matthew before he died that they will get him a sibling. She is therefore determined to fulfill that promise to her deceased son.
Bray said that she feels like Michael is now trying to break the promise he made to Matthew to give him a sibling. Matthew’s death left the couple’s marriage very strained and the two later separated. She wants her new man to raise her baby. Bray’s boyfriend Richard Duncan, 38, has agreed to take care of the child as his own and not seek financial support from Michael, who lives with his new partner in East Wemyss, Fife, not far from his estranged wife.
