The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has again said something about its call for referendum, focusing on that until the point that the Nigerian government takes care of its requests, there will be no decision in the South East beginning from the up and coming Anambra state governorship election.




IPOB said should its call for referendum is not met, it will use the November 2017 governorship election in Anambra state to set example for what is to come in the future.

A suspected car battery thief was yesterday beaten severely by an angry mob at Akai Effa, Calabar, Cross River State. This is the second mob action against suspected criminals in Calabar in 48 hours, with the first reported on Sunday, as one person was set ablaze at Edim Otop.

Yesterday's victim was said to have been chased on Monday, but escaped. On Tuesday afternoon, he went back to a location close to where he had been chased on Monday, and was caught this time. .

After being severely beaten with hands, stones and sticks, the mob had poured fuel on him and dragged a tyre from a nearby compound to burn him alive. He was, however, lucky that security operatives came before being set ablaze. He was eventually taken away.

This ain't no fairy tale or was these formulated , this is an actual true story , though you might have a second thought because the photographer is not TY Bello or any other photographer , that is well known .



This is an upcoming photographer ,ArtPro Media , who got inspired by what TY bello and her team did for the bread seller Olajumoke Orisaguna and then went into the streets of port harcourt to take photoshot of the environment and then he stumbled into a young girl identified as Opeoluwa beulah who was sent by her aunt to go dispose the waste and then he approached the girl and as naive as she was , she thought he had evil intentions , then he mention a photoshoot session with her so she agreed to give it a try, even after she agreed , she didn't want to go anywhere with him , so the photographer had to call his friend who is a makeup artist to come with some dress to transform her for the shoot and then , the session yielded this beautiful portrait

Despite fortifying himself with a juju waist armlet, suspected kidnapper had his face ripped apart by bullets, today, in Ondo State.


According to a facebook user who took to his page to share the tragic incident of how a kidnapper's face was partly ripped off with bullet , he said ;

ONE OF D kidnappers that kidnapped Hon Odimayo early this morning allegedly captured and killed in ESE odo LGA by vigilant youths of d community while other members of d kidnapper group are still in d bush at d moment trying to escape through d swamp very close to Igbotu town . The Registrar of the Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, Mr. Collins Ossai Onyenwenu, has been abducted by yet unidentified persons.

Mr. Ossai, SaharaReporters learned, was seized by the gunmen at about 3.30pm on Saturday while travelling in his official car along Ugiliamai/Onitcha-Ukwu Road in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of the state. His abductors abandoned the car on the road.

A senior lecturer at the Polytechnic, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the registrar was driving when he was ambushed and forcibly taken away to an unknown destination.

The kidnappers, added the lecturer, are yet to contact the school authorities or Mr. Ossai's family.

Delta State Police Commissioner, Mr. Zanna Ibrahim, confirmed the abduction to SaharaReporters and explained that efforts are being made to secure Mr. Ossai's release.

As at the time of filing in this report, details of the kidnap remained sketchy. Sources at the Polytechnic, however, told SaharaReporters that Mr. Ossai's abduction may have been masterminded by people from whom he allegedly collected huge sums of money for employment in the institution but were later disengaged by the Okowa administration.

A nine-year-old boy shot with an arrow in tribal dominated Dhar district was brought to MY Hospital for treatment. A team of doctors performed operation to remove the arrow but his condition was stated to be critical on Sunday.



The victim, Kamal of Kheribalwal Wari village was brought at the hospital with an arrow stuck in his head late on Saturday. The sharp-edged arrow had pierced the frontal lobe of his brain. When Kamal was shot with an arrow his family members tried to remove it.


They attempted to pull it out but the iron head of the arrow got stuck in his head, while its wooden shaft broke into two pieces.


"After conducting medical tests, a team of neurosurgeon performed a complex surgery and removed the arrowhead. The victim's condition is critical. He has been placed on a ventilator," said Dr Arvind Ghanghoriya. The family members of the boy told police that he sustained the injuries by mistake while playing with his friends. In a similar incident reported last week, a man had allegedly shot his wife using a bow and arrow.



Banibai (42) was brought from Alirajpur district to MY hospital for treatment. She succumbed to the injuries during treatment. he incidents of attacks by bow and arrow are quite common in tribal belt of Dhar, Alirajpur and Jhabua, where possession of particular weapon is not prohibited under the Arms Act. "One carries bow and arrow for safety purpose and often uses them over quarrel on petty issues.


In many cases, low literacy and consumption of liquor were found to be reasons behind petty issues turning into bloody attacks," said a senior police official.
