If your car starts at cold temperature and starts misbehaving when hot, like loss of power, erratic rev, extreme earthquake vibration. Then look no further than the crank and cam sensor in the engine, start with those first since its a Nissan.

As for the NATS system, if the engine starts with the key blinking, you need to relearn it, since I don't know the Nissan model and year, I don't know whether the relearn process would be same as my Ex-Nissan Almera N16.

Key flashing suggests a NATS issue. Does the flashing stop when you turn the ignition on? We need the precise code of the scan result.

Guess ur car is nissan primera 2002 -2007 well good luck with d programming but first before buying new brain box do u had a scan? If yes is it an immobilizer issue that is d NAT5 system do through check before replacing ur brain box please it almost cost me all my savings I was buying everything. The system is tricky oh pls be careful had to park mine for 6months when it turns me into mobile ATM. Finally succor came when I have the right rewire do a check and detects it's burnt cables and direct earthing problem within d system, the guy was so loyal and trust worthy he help even return some parts I bought to ladipo nd he re programme the original brain back. Pls it's not mechanic work oh but a sound rewire technician. If u d d rewire that helped me let me know. His fees is not up to d 15k ur guys are charging and I can tell u he will fix it before charging u

Yes it can be up to that because Nissan Immobilizer system (NATS) can be a hard knock to crack and is not direct like most japanese car.The programming process will involve acquiring pin code from another third party source which will used for the programming .
But I i will advice you to take your car to a competent technician to troubleshoot the issue inside out to really conclude that you have a faulty ecu .
