Chelsea may not be getting very far with their bids for John Stones, but Chinese media reported on Friday that they have made an offer for China and Guangzhou Evergrande defender Zhang Linpeng.

The 26-year-old right-back has been given the nickname "Zhangmos" in China due to his similarity to Real Madrid's defender Sergio Ramos.

After having bids of £20 million, £26m and £30m knocked back from Everton, The Guardian reports that Chelsea are readying a new £40m bid for young defender John Stones.

The Times early on Tuesday reported that Stones was set to submit a formal transfer request in an attempt to force through a move to the Blues.

West Ham have made a bid for Nottingham Forest star Michail Antonio. The £5m offer would also include winger Matt Jarvis for the 25-year-old winger who scored 14 goals last season in the Championship.
