Ask her about her life, her interests, about herself. The biggest mistake us guys make is talking about ourselves too much.
Family › Re: Why Do Most Educated Women Find It Very Difficult To Submit Their Husbands by KojoAseda(m): 1:35am On Aug 03, 2008
Because being educated gives a person the confidence to stand up for themselves and be independent. A woman shouldn't have to "submit" to her husband. Marriage is about an equal partnership between two individuals who respect each other and are committed to each other. An educated woman is beautiful in so many ways.
Education › Re: Preparing For Gmat And Graduate School in The US by KojoAseda(m): 1:33am On Aug 03, 2008
Many American schools actively seek out foreign students, especially from Africa. You would have a very high chance if you studied the social sciences (Anthropology, Sociology, etc) because these are fields that aren't normally attractive to foreign students. In that case, you'll have to take the GRE to do graduate studies in the U.S.
Christianity Etc › Re: Are Moral Behaviours Relative To Time & Place & People? - Slavery by KojoAseda(m): 1:29am On Aug 03, 2008
I think it is a very interesting question. The answer is inarguably "Yes."

Morality is a highly relative thing, and I strongly believe that it isn't even rooted in religion. Morality is in fact more commonly practiced by atheists in Europe and North America who believe it is right to behave correctly simply out of logic rather than out of religious decree. It is wrong to kill because you wouldn't want to be killed - it is wrong to steal because you wouldn't want to be stolen from.

Those laws in Leviticus are still practiced by some fundamentalist Christians. Especially in the some of the charismatic churches these rules are followed very seriously, and generally don't benefit the people who follow them.
Christianity Etc › Re: I Don't Feel Like Going To Church: What's Wrong? by KojoAseda(m): 1:25am On Aug 03, 2008
I am speaking as a non-Christian American with an education in the social sciences.

Generally, people get bored with church out of curiosity for other things. Another reason people stop going to church is because it is very time-consuming and often prevents you from doing things that can actually help you - like learning, working, or networking with people who can provide more realistic opportunities.

As an American who used to live in Ghana, I feel like African churches often get in the way of peoples' lives. Although churches can often provide strong social networks, they often provide people with networks that can't move them upward.

Perhaps this is one of the reasons why you are tired of going to church?
