In fairness to Mr Peter Obi, he never said he'd deputize anyone in the News Central interview. He said if there is anyone who can do the job better than him, he'd yield the floor to the person.

It is unclear why it was twisted to him saying he'd like to deputize someone.

As for Mr Peter Obi, he talks quite a lot. This is why things he says can be twisted to something else.

Say less and that would be more impactful.

I like the fact that Mr. Victor Egbo has responded in good spirit.

This building would not have been marked for demolition if proper approval was obtained. Unless there are illegal means of obtaining building and construction approval which should be something the government must look into to prevent the reoccurrence of such loss because it is a loss to both the state and the individual.

The ministry of urban and rural planning should endeavor to carryout it's responsibilities with due diligence in regards to feasibility study and ensure a a system deviod of compromise when granting approval for buildings and constructions for private property owners and developers going forward.
