A mother and daughter from Maryland have been accused of using a chainsaw to dismember their grandmother and then grilling the body parts in order to dispose of them.

The incident reportedly stemmed from an argument over a credit card. Authorities made the gruesome discovery on Friday during a welfare check at the family's residence on Hill Road in Landover, where Margaret Craig, 71, had already been deceased for over a week.

The Prince George's County Police Department stated that upon entering the basement, the officers immediately detected the smell of decomposition. Homicide detectives, conducting a preliminary investigation, have concluded that Candace Craig is the alleged perpetrator responsible for her mother's death, which occurred on May 23.

Deadly India train crash kills over 280 people, and injures close to 900 in one of nation’s worst rail disasters.

On Saturday, the death toll from one of India’s deadliest train derailments in decades had surpassed 280. Rescue workers in eastern India were tirelessly searching through the wreckage.

The incident occurred in Odisha, approximately 137 miles southwest of Kolkata, when a passenger train derailed, causing severe damage to 10 to 12 train cars. Tragically, over 900 individuals were injured in the accident. Adding to the devastation, debris from the crash scattered onto another track, resulting in the derailment of three cars from a second passenger train.

West Virginia boy, 16, sentenced to 80 years for the murder of his mother and sister

A teenager from West Virginia has been given consecutive 40-year prison sentences for the fatal shootings of his mother and sister, after his pleas for a lesser sentence were rejected by the judge.

Crowe’s attorneys argued for a reduced sentence, citing his age as a mitigating factor. However, Hancock County Circuit Judge Jason Cuomo imposed the maximum penalty on the 16-year-old, as reported by news outlets.
