This afternoon, the traditional ruler of Ifidedun known as His Royal Highness Chukwuemekalum Ilounoegbunam reported through his Facebook page that his house has been set ablaze.




This is coming in barely forty eight hours after Governor Hope Uzodimma's house was set ablaze by unknown men in Imo State.

No one knows the actual time the incident happened as he did not reveal the time. According to His Royal Highness Chukwuemekalum, the house was set ablaze by arsonists.

When he shared the information on his social media handle, he urged people to pray for him. He also shared the picture of a house which has changed colour as a result of the fire that was set on it. He also shared picture of his vehicle that was destroyed by fire. A news media in Anambra State known as Anambra Broadcasting Service confirmed the incident on their Facebook page this afternoon.

Ralph Uwazuruike, who is the leader of the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), in an interview with BBC said that he wouldn't condemn the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu over his agitation style against the Federal Government of Nigeria.




This Interview with Uwazuruike, came up a day after the attack on both the Nigerian Correctional Service and Police Headquarters by unknown Gunmen at the State capital in Owerri, Imo State.

It can be recalled that before the appointment of a new acting IG was made known, the former Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar had indicted both the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Eastern Security Network (ESN) as the groups behind the deadly attack.

In response to the former IG indictment of IPOB as being behind the deadly attack, Ralph Uwazurike said, it's too early for anyone to have suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra as being the culprits behind those attacks.



However, he also said during the interview that people were expecting him to condemn and throw blames of the recent deadly attack on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, but he wouldn't want to do such because the Government on its part has failed the region.

He also vehemently kicked against the former IG of Police over his statement of indicting IPOB wrongly, even as the group had come out clean of not being involved. According to him, the executive Governor of Imo State had already constituted an investigative panel to take a look, and come up with a report about the deadly attack.

He added that before the deadly attack on Monday, he was one of the people that kicked against the establishment of security outfit like Amotekun in the South East, owning to the fact that he thought the region was secured, but with the recent attack, it now dawn on him that there's nothing like security in the region.

He also expressed his discontentment over security lapses, when he said over 100 armed unknown gunmen invaded Owerri without the DSS knowing about it, and the Police as well and also lack of intelligence report.


He continued that what happened in Owerri was failure on the part of security and the former Inspector General of Police. He said the swift response of Police to what happened in Owerri called for a great concer while nothing has been done to what occurred in Ebonyi.

Hausa community in Imo State has called for calmness as 4 northerners yesterday were killed by unknown gunmen at Umuaka in Orlu Local Government Area of the State.



Briefing newsmen, Senior Special Adviser to the governor, Ibrahim Suleman while attributing the killings to the handiwork of the detractors of the State government however urged the northerners not to retaliate just as he affirmed that the State government is already doing something to ensure peace prevail in the community once more.

“While we condemn the recent killing of our brothers in Orlu in April, 3, we plead with our brothers too outside not to go on a vengeance mission, the State government has already set a machinery in motion to unravel those behind the killings.

“Even though we know it’s the handiwork of the enemies of the State government who does not want the governor to succeed, we shall do everything within our power to unravel the mystery, so beg everyone to remain calm.” Suleman said.



Meanwhile, secretary of the Hausa community in Orlu, Halisu Umaru who claimed to have witnessed the incident disclosed that he saw 3 vehicles at about 8 30 pm parked at the Afor Umuaka and 7 able bodied men in army camouflage alighted and shot at the four victims who were sitting together selling different items.

Two of the victims he said died on the spot while the other two were rushed to the hospital with the help of other neighbours in the market but unfortunately they also died from the bullet wound they sustained.

“It was about 8 30 pm on April,3 when we saw three Siena cars and 7 men came out from the vehicle while others remained , they just came close to where they were and opened fire on them.

“Our Igbo neighbours assisted us to rush the victims to the hospital but they could not make.” Umaru narrated.

However, Umaru has dismissed any collaboration from their host, insisting that they have been very kind to them for over 30 years most of the victims have been living there.

“For me , I don’t think it’s the indigenous people, we have been living with them for several years without any trouble so why now, we believe it is the strangers that might have been responsible, our Igbo neighbours even helped us when we were taking the victims to the hospital.” Umaru said.

Eight persons have been killed and four injured by armed bandits in separate attacks in Kajuru and Kachia local government areas of Kaduna State.

The State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday April 6, said armed bandits barricaded the Kaduna-Kachia road around Kadanye village in Kajuru LGA, and opened fire on a bus, as well as a truck carrying firewood.


Five people were killed in the attack which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, April 6. They are listed as Alfred Makinde (the driver of the bus) Abdulrahman Dela, Dauda Adamu, Umar Dauda and Abdulrasheed Musa.



Three persons were injured and are currently receiving treatment in hospital. They are: Murtala Ibrahim, Ali Manager and Abdullahi (full name unknown).


Similarly, armed bandits barricaded the Kaduna-Kachia road at the Doka axis of Kajuru LGA and shot at a truck, killing the driver.

Furthermore, in Kachia LGA, armed bandits invaded a herders settlement in Inlowo village, and killed one Ibrahim Alhaji Haruna, before carting away 180 cows.

At Akilbu village in Kachia LGA, armed bandits shot at a vehicle, injuring two persons, Mansur Ibrahim and Muhammadu Aminu. Mansur Ibrahim later died in hospital while Muhammadu Aminu continues to receive treatment.

The Commissioner said that Governor Nasir El-Rufai noted the reports with sadness, and sent condolences to the families of the deceased, while praying for the repose of their souls. He also wished the injured a quick recovery.

The security agencies are presently conducting operations at identified locations in the general area. The government will make details public on the receipt of operational feedback, he added.

The menace of Fulani Herdsmen in Nigeria seems not to be ending anytime soon.

Earlier today in Ekiti state, the Fulani Herdsmen unleashed terror again as 6 of them attacked people in their farm settlement.
