Please house, I need to understand this!
Got an sms yesterday for traffic violation, I checked the link and I saw the violation was indeed an “expired Insurance” but all my papers are up to date and my insurance is not expiring until next year as seen below.
Has anyone experienced anything similar ?
Although, I selected “contest this bill” on their website and I’ve uploaded my insurance certificate.
Fake insurance, dey don run you street.

List of what we did today.

Change the ball joint. That chunky sound on bad road has stop.

We check the shaft cups everything ok.
We check the bearings everything ok.
Hub bearing everything ok.

The only thing that was left was the disk. Because of confusion I bought toks disk.

The problem still persist.

Someone suggested I increase the engine that the engine is low and not powering it well.

Engine rev at idle 600-650 when fully warm.

The problem is that I think gear 2 at between 2000 rmp. It vibrates and more obvious when climbing high at low speed (2000 rmp)
Bro, at these point i don't understand, is it your steering wheel that is vibrating or the whole car, and I think 600-650 rpm is too low. What type of car is these?

I went to computer. They said it's ok. I also went to where they use mirror. They also sekd it's ok. What do you think of that ball joint. Should I change it.
I don't think the ball joints have nothing to do with your vibration, but if it's bad, you can change it. What about your tie rod and inner cv joint?

fineboynl:
bro. Today I tried to check the shaft bearing. While disassembling it one of the ball joint rod turns with nut. And we had to remove the full hub To get this the shaft. The bearings are ok. We just added more grease.

Then the wheel hub we service with more grease and change the seal.

The car still vibrates. I'm already tired.

What do you think of the ball joints rod that turn with the nut? Doesn't that mean it's already damaged?

Can the back leg cause vibration?
Have you done wheel balancing?

There is a ‘kkraaaaan’ sound coming from around the engine chain, 3 different mechanics yet none is able to fix it still. They both changed chain, changed adjuster and even something called ‘metal’ yet no difference. I’ve ‘changed’ it for them because I don’t even have money to waste anymore. I probably made a mistake trusting them too much instead of going to scan since last month when the issue started.
The car is Muscle Camry and I’ll appreciate a very good scanning centre around Gate Abesan thru to Gate Jakande.

I don't think scanner can detect such car issues, is not every car issues can be detected by a scanner. You need a good mechanic to help detect were the sound is coming from and flee from those kazeems.

See ur brother here... Him don change engine.
Wetin be 100k miles? That's child's play. One of my Corolla Odometer has stopped reading and I haven't opened the engine. If u know the figure that Corolla odometer ceases to count again u will understand what I am saying. And d engine is still working with factory iron top cylinder gasket.
That particular type of civic have their intake pass under the car. So if there's any leakage, it will take water if even is small, speaking from experience.

Bro. Corrolla is very sturdy, rugged, can withstand extreme conditions.
2020 , before end Sars, the 3mb was under repairs, only one lane was shared.
I was coming from v.i going to mainland. We spent 3 hrs 20mins before we got to shoprite. Didn't switch off for one minute.
Rider was even tired. He was frustrated.
A lot cars were overheating that night. I didn't spot one Corrolla that broke down.
Toyota is a damn good car.
The challenge is forex and the ailing economy.
If a typical worker earns 1m / month. He/she should be able to buy a good car.
I understand you point bro, but I am not arguing about the sturdiness of Corolla, I was just pointing out the water part. Any car with a good cooling system can idle for a whole day without overheating. I have driven pass a water that cover my hood at aba, many buses and trucks got spoilt in the water but i passed. The only thing is that the next day i changed my alternator bearing due to the water was very muddy.

Toyota is superior to Honda engines. A normal corrolla will swim agungi n come out unscathed. A civic or accord EOD can't try it.

I over heard someone saying that the engine in his Honda accord 2010 is 2.0 civic engine.
Guru in the house, please tell me, it is possible to swap accord to civic, if possible how can I go about it, I found out that the complete tokunbo engine of Honda accord 09/10 is about 500k while civic is 300k or even less and has less fuel consumption.
Thanks, I will here to read your advice.
The Honda Civic comes with R18 engine which is 1.8l and produces 140hp except for the si models that comes with k20 engines, while your Accord which i believe is the European spec is equipped with R20 engines which is a 2.0l engine and produces 156hp. The engine may look similar, but the are not the same.

Yeah, Japanese spec.
Mine is Japanese spec too, guess the are built that way. A friends own the Canadian spec and rpm is 2,500 at 62mph. And also the don't come with 02 sensors and catalyst, so your car is perfectly normal.

Good morning oga GAZZUZ.
I ride a 2003 Honda civic I noticed that at 100KM/H my RPM is hovering around 3000.
I get around 2500RPM at 80km/h.

My former corolla is 2200 RPM at 100km/h.

Also my car doesn't seem to have O2 sensors.
It's not like it is absent, the exhaust doesn't seem to have a place for it.

Is the RPM normal for my car?
And should I be worried about the lack of O2 sensors?
There's nothing wrong with your car, I get around 3,100rpm at 100km still my fuel consumption is still excellent. I thought it was an issue then, till i read in a forum were people who use similar car complain the same. Is yours manual?

Nlanalyst:

Good morning guys.
So yesterday, I went with my mechanic to get this car. We left from Ifo Ogun state to Ikorodu.
He inspected the car and affirmed that the engine hasn't been tampered with and the gear was in good shape, although there were obvious exterior flaws which didn't matter to me and the automated dashboard wasn't working. We paid and took off, getting to Agege, the car broke down due to overheating and while at it, the gasket was burnt, the radiator wasn't good.
Some men helped push it to a mechanic workshop around (the mechanic with me came from Ogun state so apparently there's no way he could fix it without his tools).
The Agege's Kazeem charged 70k to change the gasket, fix these radiator, oil gauge stick because it's burnt and oil (engine oil and gear oil) just an extensive servicing though.

Now my questions are;
Seller is swearing that his car wasn't overheating hitherto.
1) is it my Kazeem's fault that he couldn't spot the overheating till it got that bad?
2) Car is parked at Agege and we are asked to return on Tuesday (I've paid for everything including even to fix the dashboard (37k). Who is to cover these expenses? Especially as the car didn't even follow me to my state let alone home? The seller or me?
3) is 37k not overcharged for a dashboard? (Asking for future's purpose not like I can get the money back.
4) We've scanned the car and it's alright save for the overheating. My confusion is, could the overheating (radiator was leaking water) have started few minutes of us driving from Ikorodu or it has most definitely been an issue before now? Abi my Kazeem is just an overrated idiot.
Nawa oo, sorry my brother for these experience, but the truth is that when you want to buy naija used car, due diligence most be carried out because most Nigerian sell there car when it start giving them issues, and once money enter the seller hand otilo. Your mechanic should have insisted the seller fix the instrument cluster before going on with the purchase and i am sure he didn't even scan the car for codes. Most of these mechanic and car sellers are dubious, i remember when i want to get a Ford focus, the seller was signalling my mechanic to certify the car okay so that he can get his cut even if the car is not okay, and most of the mechanic fall for these. My advice you have already buy the car, just fix the gasket and every other thing and let's hope there's no any other underlying issues. You can still reach out to the seller, if he's a nice person, he might help.

I fit get the luxury and profit in one, baba.
I guess the reason you dey reject Big Daddy na the engine cost.
And dem Don dey call am big for nothing since when its engine was less than 300k self, so, dat one no even beat am.
Yeah, I consider exterior and interior luxuries, the reason I no fit hold 4m for hand and go for civic 04.
When I pull up in front of riders, I need that nice appreciation facial expressions from them. Enter my car and appreciate the interior, even if u no talk am out.
And when I just go out, or to an event, make I feel myself small wth my big daddy. grin
I just feel say person wey get 4m for hand should be able to get himself something that would give him a lil sense of class as an Uber driver, and big daddy go give you that + the profit that's the major.
Some people with shinkini maintenance responsibilities self dey find it hard to sort themselves, so, wetin we come dey talk?
If your tool be the one wey im parts are lil bit pricey, you go dey serious with your tool and hustle.
Well, I dey talk based on say if na me ni sha.

Much respect, boss. 🙌
There is nothing luxurious about big daddy, the car is just bland and spacious that's all, that why is called big for nothing grin wink, here in rivers state, it's mainly used in transporting kpofire( illegal refined crude) due to spacious trunk. Anyway as the say, every mallam to his kettle. No offense meant baba.

I would rather go for a big daddy without thinking twice, instead of going for these archaic cars that look like ancient rides all in the name of trying to invest small capital to recoup in short time.
I can't go for these types if I had 4m for hand.
These cars you screenshot no suppose dey expensive like that, wetin dey do the sellers of those cars nah?
They're overpriced, abeg.

Much respect, sir.
Baba dey production date of those cars started from 2000 and ended in 2005, that's why it might look old, but trust me is the best for this hustle. I having been using mine for almost five years, i onced have the 2006 model, but i choose to retain this one due to the rugedity and fuel consumption .The big daddy you are referring to is also a old car because production date started from 2002 and ended 2007, in a developed country, all these cars we use here wouldn't be accepted on e hailing platforms. The parts of that Civic is still cheaper than the Corolla or big daddy. Pope mentioned the engine is 280k compared to Corolla which is almost a million. Much respect baba.
