That I don't know! I'm not yet an officer, I am also a potential applicant but like my source use to say, 'U WON'T REGRET JOINING'. All u need to know is that they are on special salary scale !

NA still better o, NN is worst(quote me anywhere! U will understand this when d list is out)I haven't been 2 NN interview b4 buh wit my experience ,NA is characterized with Godfatherism. Their MEDICAL TEST is pseudo! They engineer the result to satisfy the candidates of the high and mightys! Board interview and final selection is also done with d highest degree of Nepotism! Mind u, some People won't be shortlisted by NN but will attend training and get commissioned(quote me also).

sarajevo: yeah you are right, however the S.I.O I and II grading @commissioning also depends on the course you studied in the university(professionals eg Doctors are graded higher).

With the little knowledge I have of the SSS and the various grades within their ranks, qualification for Cadets is SSCE with an age limit of 18 or thereabout. These mostly consist of the gun toting officers you see with VIPs while B.sc & beyond holders are referred to as superintendents or agents with an age limit of 30 or so. Now which of these two categories are you specifically referring to that is about to recruit?

u are only mixing if up Sir, Degree and HND holders recruitment in all Military/ para-Military org is usaually refered to as cadets recruitment (police inclusive) and after training when commissioned, cadets(SSS) are either commissioned as S.I.O grade1 or 2(depending on ur performance during training). SSCE holders are refered to as DETECTIVES and ND or NCE holders as ASO! Detectives are those guys with that big riffle( TAR21) protecting some public office holders! Hope it helps

NYSC cert. Is a must! Second class lower is the minimum grade for Bsc holders and upper credit for HND holders! Definitely, second class upper is eligible to apply!

No sir! Maximum is 30 years! U can try Nigerian Army DSSC. They take 35yrs as maximum

it is d same thing! Infact that is 1 of there usually aptitude test questions! SSS (state security services), DSS ( department of state services)

was it NA DSSC or SSC screening and interview u attended? I attended SSC @ kaduna! Army 'ojoro' too much joor! I just hope NN will give me a reason to smile o!

Their recruitment some years back was hijacked by politicians! I leart they will recruit very soon as well!

Bsc (second class lower) or HND(upper credit), local govt attestation, birth certificate et al. Course 28 means the 28th recruitment that will be done since NSO was dissolved in 1986 and replaced with SSS,NIA and DIA.. Each state command is usually given the authority to carry out it recruitment and name of those successful sent to yellow house(sss headquaters in Abuja) for another aptitude test, interview and medical test.. My prayer is Jonathan should be wise enough to increase the nos of intakes for the sake of 2015 election and present security challenges cos just 5 cadets are usually taken in each state finally! Also, when they start next year, holograhic application is usually requested by each state command and test written by those whose applications were successful! Goodluck

maximum of 30years for cadet. I will find out the age limit for other cadre.

They only conducted recruitment for medical personnels, cleaners and guards this year! My source @ the yellow house made me realise that signal will be sent to all state commands in the first quater of 2014 for the recruitment of cadet officers!

Having followed the thread of SSS on this forum for sometime, I think it is imperative to have separate thread for different course and different category of the Department of State recruitment to get things right, most importantly, now that its recruitment for cadet course 28 is getting closer to avoid mixing information on different cadre and courses up!

nnesochim: My friend,all the latest posts u ar hearing are mere speculations,NN authorities chose to remain silent about the issue,as regards to ur question..I dnt think NN has ever merged their recruitment,earlier before now NA SSC and NN DSSC usually train together,they always train together for the initial 6 months after which Naval cadets move to Onne as midshipmen for another 3 months military training with naval bias,lets just cool down and watch them,the very much touted next year is just 2 days away,so lets watch and see,remember NNBTS batches 23 and 24 final list is nt yet out and they ar equally waiting for 'Next Year'.I hope this helps?

tnks Bro! U are right NNBTS 23 and 24 final list isn't yet out despite their interview some months back. All I knw is, their is ominious behinde silence.... But I will disconcur that NN delay is due to short of fund or as a result of the high performance of July 20, 2013 qualifying test as postulated by some!!! God is still God

Pls, can some 1 tell me the month NA( SSC) usually resume its annual training and NN DSSC following trends also since these two courses do train 2geda qnd have different duration i.e 9months (NA SSC) and 6months(NN DSSC).
Also, if there had been a year NN merged 2 courses!
These with other info gathered from NHQ and other contributors on this thread would help make empirical likely submissions on what the outcome and fate of NNDSSC 22 would be.

@Huzzle 001, tnks for the timely response! I just pray that NN don't cancel DSSC course 22 recruitment! Also, I pray NA and NN authorities fashion out a way we can resume training latest March 2014 ! I believe it is possibl if NA SSC starts with their 3month combact training prior our arrival!!!!! Whichever way GOD IS STILL GOD
