Comparing both speakers Charge 4 Bigger battery - 7400 mah with up to 20hrs of play Power bank capable 60Hz lowest frequency 20,000Hz highest frequency 1 speaker driver JBL app (no EQ settings as of 26th feb, 2021) Bluetooth 4.2 Type C power input $180 (without tax, shipping, custom fees etc) Motion+ Smaller battery - 6500 mah with up to 12hrs of play NOT Power bank capable 50Hz lowest frequency (pick more bass and lower sounds) 40,000Hz highest frequency (pick higher sounds without distortions) 4 speaker driver (more bass - come and beat me in my house) Soundcore app (plenty EQ settings to try as of 26th feb, 2021) Bluetooth 5.0 Type C power input $100 (without tax, shipping, custom fees etc) Both speakers have the option of being connected to more than one copies of themselves and creating a super speaker, so it would be cool with friends who have similar products. The Soundcore Motion Plus (+) Soundcore is anker's sound department to put it in the shortest terms. Where anker has very expensive power banks, they have really affordable speakers for the price they offer and the motion plus is one of those good speakers for the price. (Also see motion boom if you were born to make noise grin) With 30watts output 50Hz lowest frequency 40,000Hz highest frequency 6700mah battery IPX7 water resistant rating Great sound quality 4 speaker drivers EQ settings for preference Is a really good portable speaker for the bucks spent, great speakers, newer bluetooth technology, really great bass, no distortions at loud volumes, design not overly pirated in Nigeria (yet)

There are a variety of portable speakers in the market now from sony to LG to JBL just to make a few. One thing that all these speakers have in common is that the companies have different speakers with different build and sound quality that can be seen reflecting on the prices. I have decided to compare two good portable speakers in the same output wattage to their price, starting with the JBL Charge 4. The more popular one. The JBL Charge 4 30watts 60HZ lowest frequency 7500mah battery Great sound quality Big battery capacity IPX7 water resistant rating The JBL charge 4 is one of the most purchased portable speaker in its 'category', maybe because of its ability to act as a power bank (never seen any user using that feature though), it's thumping bass, design or because it's been marketed more than others. But it is surely not the best speaker in its category, or the best for your money. It is actually quite expensive.
