Are you employed by a company? If yes, the company must take up either a group life insurance cover for all the truck drivers under its employ or a Workmen Compensation/Employer's Liability Cover. Talk to your Human Resources Manager who will inform you of the current insurance packages in place for you and your colleagues who are truck drivers.

If on the other hand you are self employed, it will be advisable you take up a Personal Accident Cover for yourself. This gives you compensation in the event of injuries or death sustained as a result of accident. We have one called the Personal Protection Plan (PPP) which you can take up. The premium is N15,000 once a year and it gives you a 24hour coverage plus death, permanent disability and medical benefits.
