the brand new skoda octavia depending on the specs you want ranges from 2.7 to 3.5 from stallion motors |
But I the ones in Nigeria are petrol engines, is this what you mean by benzene ![]() Also I hear the cars are made in the Czech republic, what does this say abt reliability? as that country is not a major car manufacturing country Siena: whats your take on this? Lanre |
My friend is contemplating a brand new skoda octavia. I was a bit taken aback by his choice because over the years I have known him to be a person a who knows cars. He says he has test driven one and that it out performs a honda accord. I checked on line looking for reviews to refute his unbelievable claim but reviews for the skoda octavia are hard to find online. Does anyone in the house have any info about this car? Also how does it hold up as a used car i.e what shape is it likely to be in after three or four years if bought brand new. He says i am just biased because i dont know the car and he believes he is getting the best value for his money. Please advise. Thanks |
You've got mail my friend! |
I recently contacted a number of Nairalanders concerning installmental payment for a car after mine was stolen in October. The responses ranged from downright cold to lukewarm at best. Some did not even reply. One replied - ''no deal!!''. I urgently needed a car but was not willing to wipe out my savings or sell shares etc. I then walked into a car dealers shop in Lagos and priced his 2004 Nissan Xterra down to 1.95million. This took over one hour. He thought I had cash. Then I proposed the installemental payment thing and he changed his price to 2.2m. I figured this will still be less than I will pay for bank financing with the exorbitant interest rates and bank fees. As a banker myself I feel robbed when I pay these charges. Besides, loans are very difficult to get now. So I agreed. I paid him 1m on the spot on the 19th of november and wrote a postdated cheque for 500,000 against my november salary. This month, he has a cheque for 250,000 against december salary and in january he will get 250,000 again the balance against february salary. it was a win -win. He charged a premium, and i got to take immediate delivery of my car with a pyt of just 1m. I just thought i should share this because I feel it is an untapped business opportunity for some of you guys. I dont know any of you personally but by virtue of this forum, I feel like some of you are friends already. ALL of the cars i priced on Nairaland with my proposal are still ''available, bump''. I priced four cars and not one of them has been sold. Disabuse your minds from the notion that all Nigerians are thieves. It is not so! When I took my car to work and mentioned how I bought it to some of my colleagues they immediately took the dealers number and my branch manager just took delivery of a Honda accord for his Mrs. He will pay! Not all Nigerians are thieves. Just thought I should share this sha. I am not saying you guys should change your business models or do anything that will tie down your capital in a detrimental way. Its just a thought! Cheers and merry christmas!!!! |

Fhemmy no email addy on your profile and no telephone number. I would like to discuss with you about a 2005 nissan maxima se. |
Fhemmy I am interested in the Nissan maxima. Recently asked inspired but no response. Can we discuss properly and finalize? |
Inspired, I need a 2005 Nissan Maxima. Whats your price? kindly reply asap. Thanks |
For the man that had 2m and went to buy Afribank - WRONG CHOICE. Dump them now or you may be left with penny stocks very soon. Also, the guy who said intercontinental is ''underpriced''. Well, I guess hindsight is 20:20 vision. Pls dont try it! |
I think martins00 may be involved in the sale. But like i say its a lovely car anyday |
Actually, there is one just like this (but black) on my street for sale at 1.7M asking. Did not even bargain that was just the ''first price''. I must say though, its a lovely car. When i heard the ebgine and sat in it, i could feel quality. |
Very possible. However, when that happens you can be sure water wont be free. |
ikeyman00:Dou you write in British English then? clown |
ikeyman00:Its good to know there is at least one language you understand well since you think you can translate to Yoruba, As for English, I think you should just give up. |
How can you say 2.6ltr V6 when 1.8 is clearly written behind |
DatNiggaAk:1M cash as opposed to N1M cheque? |
Nobila, Can you honestly tell me you unerstand what is going on by virtue of what Ikeyman00 writes? You must understand something before you can even take a stand on an issue. Sounds like the guy is just clowning around. |
what year is this car |
