THE PLANTING SPECIFICATION OF MORINGA TREES ON A HECTARE OF LAND.

1 hectare of land has a land area of about 10,000 sq m (square metre).
Moringa oleifera needs a spacing of 3m by 3m when planting (i.e 3 metres apart in rows and columns depending on the planting method you want to use).
With this spacing, about 1100 trees would be planted on a hectare of land.

Young moringa seedlings take about a year to start fruiting and 2 years to fully matured.
A fully matured moringa tree would produce about 1-2.5kgs of seeds yearly depending on the topography of the plantation and the soil fertility.
