Politics › Re: What Is Delaying Reno Omokri's Ambassadorial Posting To Mexico? by LeeSmart: 7:02am On Aug 09
FSBoperator:
It's not only Reno.

Other ambassador designates to Mexico from other countries are still waiting to be confirmed through a ceremonial handing of their credentials to the Mexican Head of State.

The sitting HoS of most countries schedules a special ceremony to meet and accept the letter of credentials from ambassador designates.

This is due to the tight schedule of Heads of States so the ceremony is carried out on one day for all ambassador designates.

Usually, the ceremony will have to be held when all ambassador designates have been cleared by the security outfits of the host country. In the case of the US, there is also a Senatorial hearing and screening alongside security briefings before an ambassador designate is accepted.

What you should know is that Reno is at his duty post in Mexico and this won't have been possible if the Mexican govt rejected him as they won't accept him entry into their country in the first place - diplomatic passport or not.

So Oga rest.

You can check with your favourite AI the process of accepting letters of credentials of ambassador designates .
Why using U.S as a reference point? What happened to your darling Russia? Abi dey don't practice democracy?😁😁😁

If you're going to justify this against an internationally recognized govt. troops then it's equal as you praising bandits for eliminating our soldiers here in Nigeria. Well that says a lot about how we all view you on this forum.

Politics › Re: ₦10 Trillion Investments In 13 Years Fail To Lift Power Supply by LeeSmart: 7:49pm On Aug 03
nairalanda1:
Yeah because to lift power supply Nigeria needs about 15 trillion in investments in the power sector annually

And the reason why we are not getting that is because for the past fifty years government has been setting the price of power below the cost to produce it

The result is that in April for example, discos made 206 billion naira. Revenue collection is 80% of consumers now. And they were expected to receive electricity worth 330 billion naira for distribution.

Most people who will quote me to abuse me somehow expect 206 billion naira to pay for 330 billion naira worth. of electricity . In one month

Right.

Investment means nothing when the government sets prices

And the band A thing that APC and Tinubu boast about, it was tried in India. And India to this day has power cuts. As a result India is expected to remove power subsidy in a few years.

I expect to be abused and to be called an APC supporter and to be told that I am still in my parents house and that I have no work, for telling a simple economic truth, that anything being sold must be sold at a profit.

Prof Nnaji said it last year. Cost reflective tarrifs is the way forward.

With or without corruption
The only thing I will tell you is that you should keep defending the govt. Your own portion of Nigeria go happen to you for front.

I had an opportunity to interact with a staunch Tinubu supporter over the weekend and after that interaction, I realized why they are supporting Tinubu......the favors....the financial and political gains even in business no be here oh. These guys supporting Tinubu with all their blood, I mean the ones close to Seyi or Tinubu or Gbaja or Madam R and co...not the online supporters doing it for salaye and for tribal-dick-measuring with Igbos, are enjoying a lot.

Free clearance at the ports, airport terminals, freebies here and there....single call and whatever you want or do will be favored....political connections, contracts, jobs in juicy agencies....appointments.....the list is endless......so no blame all the main and known faces supporting Tinubu......they are enjoying massive favors from the Presidency, so they are doing it for their selfish gains and I won't blame some of them much even though its inhumane and unethical angry angry
I will tell you this for free, not everyone who actually gets favour from dem keeps quiet while the country is on fire. Myself for instance, I normally do have free clearance at the port whenever my goods get there. But I have always been a vocal critique of this administration wherever I find myself.
Some of us have conscience.

How can a man leading an organization of magnitude as FIFA be hobnobbing with Trump? A power drunk clown.
I'm very sure, those who pushed Trump to lead America already regretting, their action now.
Since the day FIFA cancelled red card given to Balogun and allowed him to face Belgium, not even when Trump and other America political leaders publicly against it, "lo and be hold" it cancelled. I knew this man days are numbered at FIFA.
I have never heard any football tournament, in which, political leaders of hosting nations significantly involved like 2026 world cup.

If it's not that Infatino has been bewitched by lunatic spirit following Trump, he would have waited for his reelection before he announced this type of policy, but wen a man looses his own mind and started follow a foolish and power drunk man like a bambiala.........he would be talking before he he thinks.
My friend Abdulmaleek I can smell the level of hate you have for trump😁😁
