At this level, graduates from different universities will have to serve Nigeria at least for a year. Now the main aim of this article is to coach you on how to register for NYSC in Nigeria and the criteria’s to qualify for this programme (NYSC) National youth service corps (NYSC) was introduced in Nigeria by the former head of state, General Yakubu Gowon after the Nigerian civil war. It was established by decree NO. 23 of 22nd may 1973 to quenching the effect of the civil war in Nigeria it also helps to bring about re-construction and re-integration of Nigeria. The programme is meant for Nigerian graduating youth from polytechnics and universities. Either that citizen schooled in Nigeria or outside Nigeria it is compulsory for every Nigerian youth to serve. It is a year of service after graduating from the higher institution. Note: Nigerian youth that studied out abroad are expected to come back to Nigeria after graduating from various higher institutions outside the country (Nigeria) and register with NYSC for the National youth service. He or she would be asked to come along with his or her international passport, degree result of transcript for onward registration.
