Ths best way to know why nairaland single ladies are still single is to draw out a questionaire and ask for personal reasons. Everyone has different reasons for being single.

Truckpusher: The society owes you nothing because we are all part of the society.............in as much as i believe that the govt. hasn't done enough to make enterprising young people put their collective or individual effort into proper use i still think that the society doesn't owe us anything.

The general shift in norms and values i was talking about was purely based on education.

before now girls and a large number of boys don't go to school and it was the norm back then ,but right now education has become a must do thing if you want to have any form of relevance in the society and contribute meaningfully .

Just count the number of years a girl spends in school and graduate under the Nigerian factor of constant strike and wahala ,she must have clocked 27 to 30 yrs before graduation by then the men in her marriageable range are almost 37 to 40 already married .

there are lot of factors sha disturbing the entire system of things.

Education is not an excuse for being single. Are you saying education should be abolished and we should go back to those days so everyone can get married. Plus you need to know that there are girls who aint lettered and yet they are not married even at 30.
