Okay thanks guy, can you get him to post some pictures of the work he was done previously?

Hi Guys,

I am in need of a reputable builder for some potential work in Ogun state, it is an hostel building and i would like someone who is experienced in this.
This project is work in progress and i need some to complete according to building plans/diagrams.
Do you know any nairalander that you can vouch for, please post contact details and details of previous work that has been done.

I think in hind sight, i would rather build a small low key hostel with minimal investment before doing a big one that cost over 25million.

i have a friend that did one in Ekiti state (dunno the exact location), he spent about 6million in total for a basic face me face you hostel (21rooms), and he gets about 900k per year, which i think is good enuf.

I would NOT consider running a gen for 11 hours, that is luxury. According to the research i have done, students would be happy to have electricity for 3-4hours a day by generator. What they seem to more bothered about is water. If you can guarantee water to run 24hours ina day, then i believe student should be happy.

The building would be on the 2plots and i think it is 50 by 120 for each plot. (NB: I know it is not the standard size for a plot)

Ideally i would like to provide some cleaning services. Maybe just once in two weeks while i expect student to clean their rooms daily.

Generator i would be looking to provide so that we can provide some electricity for some hours in the day

The project is in Ogun state and based on the estimate i did about a year ago, we are looking to rent out for 80K - 100k per academic year.

I am currently building one of these hostels and it is about 40rooms, and the estimate given to me is about 28million and this was last year but i expect this to go to about 32million bearing in mind the increasing cost of building materials.

I dont have the design to hand but it is self contained with bathroom, kitchen units and a reading area. its got a common room on each floor as it a one story building.

But i do think its a worthwhile investment

As I couldnt get good price I wanna do the conversion, sienna is based in the UK but do have any other professionals that can do this in Nigeria?

What are you offering. Mind you i have now done all the paper work and it is now registered with a lagos plate. So that is off the list of your expenses. I dont know who can convert it as i dont spend a lot of time in NIgeria.

But how much are you offering?I would let u know if it can sell it for that or not asap

I have taken the car to Iju. it is still up for grabs. I dont know how much the conversion is for sure, but a friend told me it would cost about 250k to convert it.
