Redoil: All thanks to gej the hero of our time who in all honesty and humilty chose not to rig the election as it was been done by OBJ and tinubu so that nigeria will not divide. Yet the gworo chewing master and their perpetual slaves still voted him out. Cramjones ur gurlfriend berem has deactivated her account what about you old troll

nollyj: https://toscanyacademy.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/photographer.jpg Although this post is coming late because many candidates preparing to write the university entrance examination and subsequent Post Jamb examination will surely benefit from it. Also there is some take for individuals in Nigeria anticipating a career change in 2015 and beyond.
There is nothing wrong with having passion in doing a job that pays less but in an idea world and especially in Nigeria, most people will choose a career that is rewarding and at the same time fulfilling.
The recent demand for higher education in Nigeria due to the limited space in our institutions of higher learning has necessitated the habit of getting admission irrespective of the program/course on offer.
Some people will argue that they will not wait for years before they will get admitted in their course of choice rather they will prefer to take any course so far it can lend to being a university student.
The downside of such a decision is so or later you will graduate from the program and you will face the job market with a qualification with a discipline that does not produce a job vacancy in Nigeria job sector.
This can favor those that are well connected because with their connection they can get a job in areas that do not related with their course of studies.
If you don't have a strong network or family connection that will make getting a job after graduation easy for you, in addition you only have a qualify with no extra skills it is better you reconsider you course of study now or you will end up trying to look for a business to do after you must have graduated from the university.
There is no special way to figure out what is the current and future jobs in Nigeria but if you are following trends in Nigeria job market you will come to the realization that some sectors are hotter than others.
Irrespective of the profession you choose, the key to success is to work hard and differentiate yourself in a unique way from others so that it will make getting your dream job a breeze when you are out of the university.
Now lets quickly go through the list of the hottest programs to study in Nigeria in 2015
1. 2D and 3D Graphics Design
2. Brand Management and Visual Communication
3. Tourism and Hospitality Management
4. Computer Science / Software Developer

tonychristopher: Get this straight ...there are things that you can't explain
They are called mystery
God didn't give birth to a son ...he annoited virgin Mary and under his guidance she took in to Jesus which is his chosen son to deliver us. We are all sons of God and He has made us a bit above angels. We are created in his image and likeness
Now for death. Jesus died to prove that we human must die to attain eternal rest . He passed through the normal life processes such as hardship et all to prove that hardship doesn't mean that He hates us as our creator . Now know that Jesus ain't ordinary being he is supernatural but for him to choose this part meant that he is embodiment of humility unlike Muhammed who fought
Jesus died and was rose on the third day which means that there is a life after death ...now Jesus is God manifestation in human form. He is PR of God if you want it that way. You can't see God and we can use Jesus as a path or medium to approach him cos he understands us.
Now as christian I think I am on the right path and I can attest that the name of Jesus has made a lot OG impact in my life personally
I am not saying this to convert you. I don't care about how you ENd up but it will be on record that I told you this .
If I where you try Jesus the son of God and try worshiping God in his love
Christianity never failed any one
but how about Adam that has no father and mother what will u said about him isn't that more complicated to God than that of Jesus..think wise n b guided...don't ignore other scripture especially Qur'an read it u will know better..
igbo2011: I notice that many Africans are big into Christianity and Islam but have our prayers worked. I always here people say "Jesus will take the wheel" or "God will save us". But how long have we been praying? Has it been working? We have all these churches and mosques and we have the most problems, poverty, bad education, healthcare, infrastructure, etc. Instead of praying to god why don't we use ACTIONS because they speak louder than prayer.
Question EVERYTHING, what were the political implications of African receiving religion? Is it good for us? If we die and nothing happens to us then would we have wasted our lives praying for nothing? Do you want to live for this life or the afterlife?
Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful.-Lucius Annaeus Seneca

“Gen. Muhammadu Buhari is an upright man. Not many people know that his first daughter is married to an Igbo man from Anambra. He exempted Christians from performing duty on Sundays.
When his Muslim soldiers asked him to exempt them from duty on Fridays he told them the bible says Christians should rest on the 7th day, the Muslims should show him where the Koran says they should rest on Fridays.” As Head of State he slashed the number of Muslims going on pilgrimage by 50%. His driver and cook for decades are Christians yet some uninformed Nigerians say he is a bigot. It is a pity that some people failed to understand that PDP deliberately capitalised on the gullibility of Nigerians to paint him black.
This they did in order to keep their loot and ensure that he never gets the opportunity to send them to jail. How many Nigerians would hold appointment in government as Minister of Petroleum, PTF Chairman and Head of State, yet don’t own a house in Abuja or all over Nigeria. He has only one house and never kept a foreign account. Love him or hate him but you cannot take his integrity away from him.” – OBASANJO FACTS.

emmysam2: This thread is meant to seek and give information, frank advice that will help douse fears, encourage and give succor to numerous applicants hoping to secure the NIMC jobs in various departments . At some point in time on this thread, I made efforts to give advice/info and answer some questions so as to douse some worries and concerns. I am not a staff of NIMC, but having worked in various fields of endeavors, I have good experience on many issues earlier raised on this forum and I tried to explain/ answer in ways I could, but I was wrongly abused and insulted. Many other contributors have suffered similar fate. It is unfortunate that a group of contributors formed a clique to counter and make mess of other people’s opinion however genuine and credible. A contributor (Belexy) made salient opinions and genuine advise (even as an insider) but was attacked. This was absolutely unfair. So far, much of my opinions about this recruitment process have turned out true and justified. Despite my earlier resolution to opt out this thread because of the incessant tantrums and abuse on some genuine and candid advice offered by some contributors, I am however compelled to contribute this once again so as to shed more light on salient issues and reasons why there may be varied opinions on issues. Firstly, I wish to reiterate the fact that lots of people from various fields and various levels applied for these NIMC positions. There are Managers, Head of Depts/Units, Supervisors from the Banking sector, Oil and Gas, Medical, Legal, Education etc, and of course Private Organizations that applied for the NIMC job. Given the diverse orientations, variations in pays and other pertinent job related issues, these people are bound to ask, offer opinions based on where they are coming from. A Banker’s perspective regarding PAY and other terms of service may entirely differ from that of a teacher or Fresh graduate. A Banker earning over N350k monthly will definitely want to weigh options as to why he should leave his pay in the Banking field for a much more lower pay. He/she would want to consider the prospects in where he is with that of where he is leaving to (How far he/she will have grown in next 3yrs considering the options). Honestly, these are credible evaluations to make. Lets not forget that, no matter how you love your job, the bottom-line is what you take home with. No one will be utterly out of line, if he/she is much interested in his/her pay as a yardstick for taking up a job. Personally, I have a career that have spanned Private Sector, Oil & Gas and Banking, so I can better understand their point of view. In Banking, career progression is Performance driven. It is possible to rise to level of a Manager from Fresh Graduate level within 5yrs. This is almost impossible in the Civil Service. Some people are willing to make a ‘’Balance’’ between PAY/ CAREER PROGRESSION (of Banking & other sector) and JOB SECURITY (of Civil Service) , and hence are willing to quit their high pay jobs for the Civil Service. Though somehow on this thread, other people have voiced out their dismay after considering these. But that’s not a basis that they should be attacked for their opinion. With due regards, many people on this thread are Fresh graduates and many more without jobs. Their opinions may not be akin with opinions of those already working and earning high. Everyone is entitled to his /her opinion. We should learn to appreciate each other’s opinion, and not necessarily attack a genuine opinion/ concern just because it doesn’t conform with our Value judgement. Secondly, I observed that many opinions and desire for NIMC jobs and other Civil Service jobs is purely based on the ‘’illusionary’’ Job security. More people see the Civil service as a sector where they can hide and be un-productive and be rewarded with job security, hence their penchant for Civil Service job. But honestly, If anyone thinks there is job security in Civil Service any more… Sorry! The retrenched staff of NIMC and other Parastatal will tell you more. Good Enough, NIMC and some other proactive Parastatals are now ‘’Performance Driven’’. These days, we have Marketing units in Civil Service. You work hard… you Fly, You are Redundant and unproductive….You are Kicked out! No doubt, the NIMC project is an enormous one. I must commend NIMC and its Management for a thorough Recruitment exercise. They strike me as a World Class Parastatal seeking to recruit best hands for a Strategic Mission. Anyone that is given the opportunity to work with NIMC should grab it. Given, the importance of the NIMC project to National Development, I have no doubt about its Work Condition and Pay. I am of strong opinion that the staff of the Commission will be well compensated for their work. For now, there shouldn’t even be cause of fear for present staff of NIMC who feel there is disparity in pay within the Commission or they are not well paid. I am also of the opinion that all these will be adequately addressed and regularized once the project kicks off. WHAT SHOULD BE PARAMOUNT TO ALL APPLICANTS IS GETTING IN & MAKING YOURSELF RELEVANT TO THE PROJECT AND NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT. Lastly, I wish all Applicants the very Best of Luck as you undertake your NIMC recruitment process at all levels. For those of you still praying and anticipating interview/ training call ups, do not worry too much, NIMC project is a huge and continuous project. Those presently being called up for interview/trainings are strategic for the kick off stage, hence they need to be on ground before others. More hands will be needed and called up at different stages. Put your trust in God, you will surely be called (if you took and passed the Aptitude test). Best Regards.
