FamilyRe: Would You Let Your Spouse Change You? by lifexpress(m): 7:10am On Jan 07, 2006
If you come into a relationship with this idea in mind, that you'll change whatever it is that you do not really like in your spouse, chances are that you'll be disappointed! But relationships are about people learning to help one another go back home to God at the end of this life. Divorce is a good thing and that's one way to force a change in your mate through the heart-break. In a marriage, the commitment to helping one another home is much more demanding but the fibre of this exchange is love - doing things to make life easier for one another without expecting rewards.
Nairaland GeneralRe: What is Your New Year Resolution? by lifexpress(m): 10:42am On Jan 01, 2006
It was Saint Paul who taught us to learn to be content in whatsoever where you are. Its; my New Year Resolution!
Why? Futility of previous exercises in human will.
Prayer has taught me why I need God. The Lord Jesus taught us three parts of prayer: to seek and you'll find; to knock and it shall be opened unto you; to ask and you shall receive. I take the first is to set a goal or desire, the second part is to plan a way or what I can give of myself to reach it, and the final part is to actually go out and do your best and leave the rest in the hands of God.
God is certainly not a Santa Claus. We are each made in God's Image & Likeness, each person is a complete seed of God. And, you know what, you are in this life learningand growing to be godlike, whether you know it or not. That's the value of success, its the first step to realizing your godlike ability. But will it end in selfish acclaim or will you move up the spiritual ladder of selfless devotion to your ideal of creativity, and become a Saint. High creativity is how new-year resolutions must lead us to be more godlike. World saviors teach us to seek the kingdom of God within us and discover the wonder of creativity in ourselves.
Christianity EtcRe: Is There Life After Death? by lifexpress(m): 10:23am On Jan 01, 2006
Yes indeed and there is so much evidence of this in traditional African society, such as in the names of newborns who come back to life here from someplace off course.
However there is a more direct way to know:
1. To visit a dead relative and discuss past and current issues in your own or their lives.
2. Do the Prayer of HU, pronounced as the word hue in a long drawn out melody for 20minutes before bedtime.
[HU is a sacred name for God; refer Allah-HU and HU-Alleluiah. You sing it as a song of love for God to connect to the Holy Spirit]

When I asked my spiritual teacher this question, his reply was quite simple:
1. At bedtime, say to yourself: Lord Shiow Me Truth, or better still: Lord Show Me Love. Say this to yourself slowly until you drift off to sleep. And you'll find the answer to the question for yourself.
