@bolded it'll even be more than that. Considering the way our educational system is structured, he'll still be a corper 2 years after graduation (that's if he's mobilized for service immediately). Settling down is a whole different story except he has a job waiting for him or grace shines on him.
Op, I think you should forget about "what to do" about the dilemma. From all indications, you won't be ready for marriage even in 6 years time. If you so love her and want something with her, why not just go ahead and date her (having in mind she may or may not leave you when the pressure gets high) and enjoy the relationship while it lasts.
