don't attempt a miserable life, I repeat, don't gamble with a certainly sure miserable life by "marrying" the girl you know you do not love-that will be the worst uncorrectable mistake of your life-I also put it to you that you are not ripe, ready and having the right mental soundness/attitude/mind for marriage YET.

Ekiti State Governor , Ayodele Fayose , has described the non -extension of invitation to President Muhammadu Buhari to attend the Donald Trump’ s inauguration as a clear signal that the president does not enjoy international relevance any more. The governor said that the development was a very clear signal that Buhari ’ s government would not enjoy tangible support from the new US government.

Fayose , according to a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communication and New Media, Mr. Lere Olayinka, on Thursday said there is no doubt that Buhari is not in the good books of the incoming US government.

He argued that Buhari ’ s frequent visit to US during Obama administration and the romance was due to the tacit support given to Buhari by Obama to win the 2015 election with deception.

He said , “ With Obama’ s role in the emergence of President Buhari , it can be said that he ( Obama) is a member of the APC in the diaspora .”

” In an important event like this in US, our president will be missing in action .”

The governor wondered why the same president , who was a regular visitor to the US under Obama, was today not part of the historic inauguration of a new administration .

“ No doubt , something is fundamentally wrong because if there is hope of a future relationship between President Buhari and the new US President, they would have been celebrating his inauguration and would not have allowed Nigerians to hear any other news apart from Buhari going to America.

“ Obviously , Buhari ’ s junketing to US that gulped $1m per trip, has come to an inglorious end , ” he said .

The governor, who congratulated Trump for winning against all odds , like he ( Fayose ) won his own election in Ekiti in 2014 , appealed to the new American president to do everything possible to save Nigeria from the wanton killings and horrid human rights abuses of the Buhari administration .

He enjoined Trump to use his good offices to look into the daily killings in Nigeria particularly in Southern Kaduna where over 1 , 000 people were slaughtered like goats and buried in mass graves.

Fayose reiterated , “The Southern Kaduna killings is a clear case of genocide that must be thoroughly investigated and unraveled .

“ To make matters worse was the bombing of the Internally Displaced Persons camp by the military in desperation to cover up the corruption and mismanagement of affairs in the camp.

” We appeal to Trump to ensure that the voice of the opposition is not silenced in this country .

“ We however appreciate the non invitation of Buhari because that will give him the much needed opportunity to face the problems he inflicted on Nigeria , especially the IDP bombing , which left over 100 hapless Nigerians dead , ” he added

A man , identified only as Asunmo, has been detained at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba , Lagos State , for allegedly killing a driver , Sodiq Fatai.
PUNCH Metro learnt that Asunmo stabbed Fatai to death with a knife at the White Sand area of Ijora Badia , during a scuffle over a prostitute .
The suspect was said to have challenged the victim over his relationship with the lady, whom he ( Asunmo ) was dating .
Despite his denial , Asunmo was alleged to have attacked the victim and fled the area . A community leader, who did not want to be identified, said his attention was called to Asunmo’ s corpse, which was abandoned on a heap of refuse in the area .
He said , “I was told that the two men fought and one stabbed the other to death. The police from the Ijora Badia came to take the corpse away .” When our correspondent approached other residents, they said they were informed by friends .
However , a woman, who did not identify herself , said the two men were drunk. She said , “ The men were always fighting after drinking . They fought after they were inebriated .”
Another resident said the victim was a driver , while the suspect had no job . A police source said Asunmo and Fatai had a disagreement over a woman.
He said , “Asunmo suspected that Fatai was dating his girlfriend and he confronted him . Although the man denied , he attacked and killed him. The woman in question is a prostitute . ”
The Police Public Relations Officer , SP Dolapo Badmos , said the suspect had been arrested . She said , “ The corpse has been deposited in the morgue of the Mainland General Hospital . The suspect , who initially escaped , has been arrested . ”

You can't expect Nairalanders to give you a specific reason without knowing your previous history.

You could have been spurned by many women in the past, or dated irrational females; leading to an unconscious condescendion for women.

You could have a sensitive ego and feel challenged when she brings in better advices than you : you're the Alpha afterall.

You could have been influenced by the torrents of bad news pouring through media and Nollywood movies : You know, the one where the wife's the one that destroys her home for no reason or

What you guys forget is that it's not a slight to you, instead it's an asset you are privileged to gain from the sacrament of matrimony. Most women were made to be home keeper, it's not a competition. . . For the fact she's a woman, she's better at running the home than you . . . Women think of little things you men may consider irrelevant.

The voice of your wife is the voice of God. It's nothing to be ashamed of, just the way it is.

People may say you are being controlled by your wife (which is what most men fear anyway) but just imagine the stress you would save if you just did things her way all the time!

She has NEVER been WRONG and I mean it. Ever since we became husband and wife her words of caution and directions have without exaggerations been 97% CORRECT.

From the choice of accommodation-I remember when she told me we should move from IKORODU to Ojota three years ago and it's been a great blessing-, choice of businesses, church attendance, visits to our family members, the children's choice of school, savings and spending models and so on.

Recently and honestly I discovered i've ONLY listened and taken to less than 10% of her advices and that's brought my home and family a very very serious losses.

BUT now I'm thinking and beginning to see that for our-especially mine- visions; missions and journeys to be quicker and easier, I MUST have to start listening to her and do as she advises.

My worries are what was the reason why I find it difficult to follow her guide, advices and supportive words and have to pay direly in severally terrible ways.

I don't know how many of us men are already a victim of this or those who are not but your suggestions will/may be helpful.

Every decent person shares the humble Bishop's feelings about Boko Haram, but asking people to spill the blood of "anyone that looks like them" (i.e. a northerner or muslim in the wrong place at the wrong time) is very wrong. Didn't Jesus say, "love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you"? How can you call yourself a Christian if you blatantly and proudly disobey the teachings of the very Christ whom you worship?

I don't get the. r U quoting the Bible in oblivion of the hundreds of people killed for pleasure by the faceless terrorists because U or we Christians should be fearful, scared, terrified or and afraid of what exactly?

imagine, GOD forbid, Ur brother, sister, dad, mum or any dearest friends/relatives NOT to mention wife, son or daughter among those murdered in cold-blood, raped to death, mutilated for ritual purposes?

I pray this won't be the lot of U and any body close to U and me inclusive. look my brother the situation is gross and pathetic than we here all can imagine. sadly enough NO one and I mean NO ONE is interested in protecting us so should we all be wasted because we intend to fulfill the "commandment" of our LORD JESUS? even when GOD called us the Apple of HIS eyes?

I'm not sure this nation is still redeemable UNLESS GOD ALMIGHTY HIMSELF intervenes.
