Changing to Public Health is actually safer for you because it matches your Biochemistry background. It shows 'Academic Progression.
2. Cancelling the first one isn't a crime, but you MUST explain it in your new application. Tell them the truth the timing didn't work for the Jan intake. It shouldn't trigger an interview as long as your new CAS is solid and your 'Statement of Purpose' explains the switch clearly.

you welcome
What about from geology to physics?

How did you even secure admission with discrepancies in your date of birth? That’s not even possible. If your degree or transcript shows a different DOB, the institution would require an official confirmation from your school to verify that the qualification genuinely belongs to you.
My degree and transcript has my correct DOB and full name. My passport is the only thing with issues. Reason because my age in my NIN was entered incorrectly . So during my passport application it was my NIN details that was used even though I filled my correct DOF and full name during application. I went to NIN office today to correct it so I can go back to the immigration office make the passport correction but was to it will take me 2weeks for it do be done and cost 70k.

No on 20hrs a week, except you have very limited outgoings and get a job paying over £15 and hours.

Good thing is you pay little to no tax as most of your income will be below the tax threshold
Please I need advise. I have issues with the date of birth and Name in my passport. My passport has my 2 names while all other documents has my 3 names. And the Year in my passport is incorrect while all my documents has the correct year. If I get an affidavit for this during application, will it trigger an interview from UKVI?

TravelRe: Finally Migrated To Australia At Age 48. This Is My Story So Far by Lindiwesooft: 11:56am On Sep 26, 2025
Mcslize:
Ok. He has exceeded the maximum allowable age for the Australia skilled migration. The only route for him now is visa 482 job sponsorship. This doesn't actually come that easy though. But there is no wrong in trying.

He can put up application on Australia jobs sites and look for employers to sponsor him.

He can also try and look for those in his occupation who are residing in Australia to recommend him for jobs sponsorship over there. I know of a one man who got sponsored through this process. One of his friends recommended him in his office in Australia, and he was sponsored right from Nigeria on visa 482.

However, if that doesn't work, if you have qualification or experience in a good occupation, and your age is below 45, you can choose to go ahead with the usual migration process while your husband become the dependant.

If all these options fail, if there is funds, then the only route is through study for you, which is the same process OP use for his wife whom he later joined. Try and discuss these with your hubby first so you guys can put heads to together. Nothing is impossible!
How can help recommend my brother for IT job in Australia? He works with FCMB as an IT rep.(5yrs experience). Thanks

📢

UK IMMIGRATION CHANGES – Effective from 22 July 2025
Composed by: Gbemisola Obey (FAB)
Explanation for Nigerians in the UK 🇬🇧
[Based on official government release HC 997]
✅ 1. New Salary Thresholds

The UK now requires higher salaries for Skilled Worker visas. These are the new rules:

Most Skilled Worker roles must now pay £41,700 (was £38,700).

Young workers/new entrants must earn at least £33,400.

Care workers and lower-skilled jobs: at least £28,200 (was £26,100).

Public Sector workers (NHS, councils): at least £31,300.

💥 If you're working for the NHS or Local Authority, you don’t have to meet these exact figures. As long as your pay follows official NHS pay bands, you’re fine.
E.g., a Band 3 NHS staff earning £24,967 is still eligible.
❌ 2. Care Workers – No More Family Members (Dependants)

From 22 July 2025, anyone applying as a new Care Worker (SOC 6135 or 6136):

Cannot bring husband/wife or children anymore.

This only affects new care visa applicants.

If you're already here with your family, you’re safe. Just don’t break your visa chain.

🚨 3. Student Visa Holders Can’t Switch Into Care

Students in the UK cannot switch into Care Worker roles after July 22.

You can switch into other eligible roles (e.g., NHS Healthcare Assistant) if the salary and job code are allowed.

📍 Example:
Chinyere is finishing MSc in Public Health and wants to become a senior carer — NO, she can't switch.
But if she applies for an NHS Healthcare Assistant job, and the trust agrees to sponsor, she may be eligible.
🛡️ 4. Transitional Protection (People Already in the System)

If you are already on a care visa before 22 July 2025, you can:

Extend your visa

Change employers (if same job code)

Apply for settlement (ILR) later

This protection lasts until July 2028

But you must have worked at least 3 months for the current employer.

🏥 5. Is NHS Still Safe? YES!

The NHS is still the safest route.

Even if you're earning less than £28,200 (e.g., £24,967 Band 3), it's OK — as long as the job is in the NHS or a Local Authority.

You can still bring your family, and you'll be on track for ILR.

📝 If you apply for the same role in a private care home, they must pay you £28,200+, and you can’t bring family anymore.
🧾 6. Will Care Roles Be Phased Out?

No, but they are now restricted:

Only existing care visa holders can extend or switch (within same role).

No more new student-to-care switching.

New care applicants from outside the UK can't bring dependants.

🛠️ 7. Shortage Occupation List Is Now “Temporary”

It now includes:

HR Officers

Electricians

Welders

Payroll Clerks
But you still must meet the new salary rules.

📌 FAQs:

Q: My NHS Band 3 job pays £25,000. Is that OK?
👉 YES. NHS pay scales apply, not the private care rule. You're safe.

Q: I’m on a care visa and already brought my wife/kids. Will they be sent home?
👉 NO. Your family can stay. Just don’t break your visa chain.

Q: I’m a student and want to switch to care after July. Possible?
👉 NO. That route is closed.

Q: Can my employer still sponsor me for a care job?
👉 YES, only if:

You already had the visa before July 22

You’ve worked there 3+ months

The employer is allowed to sponsor

💡 FAB Final Advice:

If you’re still delaying that NHS Application Playbook, now is the time. This is not the season to gamble.

Apply for NHS jobs and council roles more.

Don’t wait till your visa is expiring. This government means business.

Be wise. Be strategic. And most importantly — don’t move without information.
Please do NHS still gives COS for visa sponsorship while still in Nigeria?

The information you heard is not true. You can apply from any country especially as an F1 visa applicant. The only thing is that you must proof a kind of tie to such country or absolute reasonable reason which prompted you to opt for such 3rd nation. 👍
Please What if you don’t have tie to the country?

Ulster University does not have any social science course in MRES so that course would be for normal MSC.

4000pounds deposit for CAS, 50% upon enrolment. Balance is in 2 installments.

Do you want an MRES course in Social Science?
Do you know any affordable university that accept MRes students to bring in dependents? Course: Data science, early childhood education or project management. And do you know if York St. John will open portal for Jan 2026 intake? I have a Bsc in computer science and statistics.
