I read up about the contestants before watching and coming here. The first name I came across when I opened this thread was Laycon and I noticed the hype. I immediately picked an interest in him even though I don’t usually like following the bandwagon.
I have followed him keenly for over two weeks now and I must say the truth even though I get crucified by his fans. I have looked up, looked down, looked left, looked right, even gone as far as digging into the earth crust and flying past the clouds, crossing seven seas and climbing the highest mountains, yet I’m still trying to find what’s special about the guy and what the whole hype is all about. Like seriously, people. Why am I even surprised? Nigerians typically celebrate mediocrity.

But that’s not to say he isn’t talented. I enjoyed listening to his song last Saturday but isn’t he just like any other musician out there? I believe he might have a great personality; after all, Erica befriended him. I give him kudos for that.

In all sincerity, I would rather watch Prince, noisy praise even Tricky Tee than spend the whole day watching Laycon which I’ve done for over two weeks now. I might even prefer Nengi and her skimpy dresses, throwing her ass about for all and sundry to drool over, fake or not.
All I have for him is pity (that’s if he’s even sincere) concerning the verbal slap that was administered to him by Erica. Maybe that’s the emotion he elicits in people that birthed the hype in the first place; pity.

If he were to win the show in the end, this will be my first and last BBN as they’re more worthy people to clinch the prize than him, unless something gives about him in the coming weeks.

My own honest opinion, though. No need jumping down unclad from Mount Everest or drinking conc. H2SO4 about it. [/s]
