I stand to refute the information just released on Opera Mini as Sarah Jubril being the only Female Presidential Candidate of her party in Nigeria. see the link here https://news-af.feednews.com/news/detail/f77c09c64d5b8dac3f8222d705e3fa83?client=news There were quite a few of them, amongst them are, Mojisola Obasanjo who contested presidency on the platform of her party in 2007. Chief EBITI NDOK also contested presidency on the platform of the party ( United National Party for Development) of which she was Chairman in 2011. Consequently, Professor Oluremi Sonaiya also contested presidency on the platform of her party KOWA Party in 2015. It would be a good idea for a News agency like Opera Mini to be up to date with such national information. It will also be recalled that one of the female presidential aspirant was falsely accused of signing a dude cheque that lead to a court case. Despite the fact that she was not found guilty yet indicted and detained for the alleged criminal act. Personally, I think it's time for women to be actively involved in politics contesting the no 1 position of the country or better still as vice presidential candidate to afford them equal participation in this polity. Let us all advocate for their empowerment and emancipation appreciating them in this regard. God bless federal Republic of Nigeria. Thanks Andrew Afefeojo |
