Politics / Re: Gov. Alia Sacks Civil Servants, Nullifies Appointments Made By Ortom by Llight101(m): 1:15pm On Jun 07, 2023

This is the stupidest thing I've read in a long time.

You talk about debt, do you know how much the state owed before Ortom took over? It was 35 billion Naira. That was accumulated between Akume, Suswam, and those before them. In fact, if you take it it was accumulated only by the two previous regimes before Ortom, it means 35 billion was borowed in SIXTEEN years. Ortom came and QUADRUPLED (over 400%) that debt in just HALF that number of years.

Now, what are the projects Ortom could show to justify that? Where are the workers he employed to justify it, besides his private businesses?

You talk about IGR. Do you even have any idea how much BIRS remits monthly? Has it ever been disclosed under Ortom? Why is the figure shrouded in secrecy?

You must be one hell of a poorly paid hireling to try to justify anything Ortom did in Benue state. It's utterly stupid trying to do so.

You're probably not from Benue state to even try to do so.
Hahahahahahahaha..... You sound so funny, it hasn't gotten to the point of being this bitter.
Ortom met 90 billion naira and not 35 from Suswam at least you should get your data right.
You know so little about your State. You mentioned BIRS and IGR, so far, the past administration was more clean in terms of IGR, there has never been a more public display of the IGR, in fact, in real time than the Ortom administration.
Go to the BIRS HQ and check the Dash Board for yourself maybe that will calm you down. I am not talking just about the BIRS alone but all MDAs unified into the BIRS.
My problem with you guys is that once some one tells the truth that doesn't conform with what you want to hear thenn BOOOOOm! the person becomes a poorly paid hiring.

Are you even listening to yourself? Besides a handful of employments made in BSU, Ortom never deemed it right to take in civil servants, only to do so a month before leaving office. Those that have been in service for years are being owed ten months cumulative salaries, and last got paid in November 2022!!

How in seven hells do you justify such wickedness?? Yet his personal projects scattered across the state have workers on site 247, most notable being the hostel for his private school being built along Otukpo road. Even at night, they're building.

You people just sit wherever you are and make statements about stuffs you know absolutely nothing about.

Imagine you have a child you're totally unable to fend for, a child that is sick and starving, yet insist your wife bore more children, say, five more. Isn't that madness?
It's evil of you to totally discredit the man, it shows that you don't know enough or you're just ignorant.
10 Months cumulatively? Seriously? He did bad in terms of salaries that's true. How much does the state generate that we are talking here? How much is used for servicing of debts. Collect your data well and don't rely on hear say. The payment was not leveled among MDAs, there are Agencies that were on February 2023.
There were Months the State had nothing because the IGR was cleared by Banks for debt servicing. It wasn't an info for public consumption so not every one knew about it. The Federal allocation wasn't efficient either.
Wear glasses to cover political sentiments and see the projects done by the past administration.

I am against last minute employment for sure. But have it in mind that TSB have no teachers, in fact, some public primary schools have just one or no government teacher. TSB, SUBEB and Science &Tech Education Board.

For those who don't know, some women do behave like devils .They can so much provoke the hell out of you, that's why the man who had much experience with them, King Solomon once said it's better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and angry woman. (prob. 21:19)
Fear women, the case of Samson is still there Judges 16:16 (And because she nagged him day after day with her words, and pestered him, his soul grew impatient to the point of death.

FreeStuffsNG:
Posterity will be harsh to the way HE Ortom governed Benue state. The verdict of Benue people is very loud. All the people he supported lost, his party PDP lost and he personally lost his bid to retire to the Senate.

Even his National Chairman from his state does not get along with Mr Ortom. Imagine Ortom as a sitting PDP Governor openly campaigning against the Presidential candidate of his own party headed by his fellow Benue man. Is that also caused by Buhari? smh.

He used all the insecurity problem in his state to misinform Benue people as a religious and tribal war and it got him his second term but when he wanted to get a third term through his proxy, Benue people said "enough is enough". They saw through his game and rejected him , everyhing and everyone he stood for.

Benue corrected the mistake in having him for 8 years by voting in Father Alia of APC.
Ortom is a straight forward Man. His yes is and no no. Ortom did well in terms of security, he did tangible projects too, you can go and verify but his failure to pay salaries up to date for some agencies held him back.
And for the issue of the Former PDP chairman, there was a gentle man agreement that he made. Who even brought him in for the chairman ship. SO because he is his brother from thesame State he shouldn't honor an agreement right?

Politics / Re: Breaking: CBN Orders Banks To Collect Old N500, N1,000 Notes by Llight101(m): 2:37pm On Feb 17, 2023
The Central Bank of Nigeria has ordered banks to start collecting the old N500 and N1,000 notes from the public with immediate effect.

It, however, pegged the maximum amount the banks can collect at N500,000.

The CBN maintained that the old currencies were no more legal tender.

A source from the bank said the CBN ordered the banks to collect the monies instead of going to the CBN office following difficulties encountered in getting access to the bank.
A CBN official said, “Go to your bank but fill out the form before you go. Go with the reference code you generate. With your code, banks will collect it from you. But if it is more than 500,000, you will go to the CBN and deposit it.”

Agriculture / Re: Amazing Output From My Yam-in-sack Farming (pictures) by Llight101(m): 11:43am On Jan 27, 2023
ytdivine:
Now let look at it from business point of view. If we should invest in farming 100 bags in yam-in-sack farming, how much are we going to input in the business and what's the likely return on the investment.
For this analysis, we are going to use
1. 100 pieces of seed yam valued @#20,000 @#200 per seed yam.
2. 100 pieces of sack = #5000 @ #50 each
3. Labour= #5000
Total cost =#30k

After harvesting, we likely going to get over 100 pieces of yam valued at average price of #800 translating to
#80,000
50 pieces of seed yam at #200 each giving #10,000

Now cost = #30k
Proceeds = #90k
Now returns on investment = 200%

Note, this is just a guide on how the business will look like. There could be many plus and minus
Too expensive, maybe because of your location.
1. with #10,000 here you can get 100 tubers of yam (3- 4 seeds/tuber). note the bigger the seed the bigger the produce
2. A Heap is not more than #5 for average heaps and #15- #20 for very big heaps. I think going for sacs is too expensive and less productive.
