You mean another push up cycle may be coming. The price in the last one or two weeks have averaged around 11.4
It will do as if it wants to go up, then offers will start coming in trickles again pulling the price down. While all the time demand is always more than offers with people demanding at much lower prices grin

Expect 20-25% upside from oando by next weekend. I smell minor bull in the stock starting from Monday.

Nigeria needs good success in expanding electricity generation sources and capacity. Make Wale forget the buy out. Make buy out no happen.

Una Don plan for another price push up as court case is approaching. I won't be surprise to see oando around #15 region before court case.

Seeing Iei at 1.59kobo after a whole week free fall is a good job well done. The stock will build a strong support at today's price. There will be a consolidation at this point waiting for Q1 result which I think will break above #2 around May/June.

Sellers will come to market today but buyers with third eyes will be picking at lower prices.

A stock with 1.2 Billion OS making a profit of #1.5B Naira in Q4 2023 and you called it illiquid stock. Which penny stock has this eps at the moment?
The body language of this stock shows its going to be a leader of the insurance companies in the next 5 years and price will be heading to #10 with the continuation of positive financial results like this. Unless they are delisting . I rest my case.

I am not in the IEI train for now......Those like Deadlytruth who were fortunate to take advantage of the price disparity and entered IEI early should enjoy the ride. I am done entering any stock for now until May, when i am sure the dividend run is over and the price dust has settled.

Iei is on 10% full bid @ 1.59 below core investor entry price.
The core investor bought this stock at #1.60 when the company was heading to Golgotha. Within 2 years, they turned the company to profit and heading for expansions. There is still more upside of 100 -200% for Iei thought not in a straight line. Timeframe is 12 -24 months.

When I was arguing this very point, the same guy was asking me if I was making money in this market, implying that my reasoning was flawed. He also stated in one of his posts that he could spot opportunities and tell you when to enter, but he would not reveal when to exit, which should have been a red flag.

The thing is, with such stocks, you should have a target exit point that hopefully falls within the period it was still trending. Once the trend is over, you will be trapped until the next trend emerges.

Keep on doing arguement with Loco.
You better join loco to make money and exit at your own set price.

Stop blaming liquidity. You are too old in this business to always become a learner.

vacanci:

the problem is one can get trapped.

Imagine those investors in Multiverse who have been trying to come out for the past one month. total traded value yesterday from 6 deals only was N21k. You spot opportunity elsewhere and want to sell multiverse to key into such opportunities just like when MTN got to N180. Multiverse trapped you inside.
Yesterday also, Champion breweries, only 3 deals with total value of around N5k.

Look at McNichols, after the price went up many days and hit the top, coming out was a problem until it went back to where it started from before we started seeing bids.
Mecure has trapped investors wanting out as we speak. remember how it was flying high and jumping 10% daily for weeks. Yesterday's total traded volume was just 21k

so many stocks like that will do people shege.

Climbing up is not the problem but when you want to come out, it's a big problem especially when you are invested with huge fund.

my advice to penny stock wannabe investors is to use penny amounts to buy penny stocks. Imagine someone queuing up very early trying to sell about 1M units of Mecure or Multiverse. it would take more than 2 weeks of others waiting if the 1M guy gets in front everyday.

I learnt my lesson when i tried to jump out of one penny stock with N800K value to invest in an opportunity elsewhere. i remained trapped while the other stock which was a highly liquid one made 30%. As i speak, i am still trapped but the paper value has gone down drastically by about 50%.

As for me, i learn't my lessons

If the market respond to a stock on sentiment, there is tendency you will get trapped when the bull is over but if market reacts to fundamental/result,you can't get trapped bro. Always know why you are buying any stock and the reason why you are buying. For IEI, I am seeing impressive results going forward and price will continue to go up.set your exit price and stop blaming liquidity.

@222martins,

Good morning

The core investor of IEI bought their shares at #1.60.The stock is currently trading below their entry price. Looking at the latest result of IEI, the stock price is too cheap at 1.45kobo.There is possibility of this Q1 result to beat that of last year by over 200%.

I think the stock will also be on 10% full bid today

Good morning,
You can get others at those prices but the bolded has done it's bonanza some days ago.
The core investor bought at 1.60.I think IEI will rise above 1.60 and hang around 1.85 to 2 till Q1 result is officially out. Expect 100 to 200% returns from IEI in a space of 12 -24months.

I think there is another 10% full bid today.
Take advantage when the elders are in charge.

The downside is that this IEI is illiquid that if it locks your fund, it may take years for your money to regain freedom

That illiquidity is the reason I like iei.
My stock picks are more of illiquid stocks.
When there is turnaround in a company, people will start looking for it no matter the illiquidity. Still on this illiquidity, when market begins to show justice to a stock because of the impressive numbers, that stock will trade at a very high price.

Just seeing this. So sorry for not responding quickly. I was on a journey throughout Friday and again for a substantial part of yesterday hence couldn't even come around during the active moments. As for IEI, I am afraid of discussing it too much here for fear of MH label, and that explains why I somehow became reluctant in responding to posts about it. But we however can continue through DM. Please check your email in few minutes from now. Thanks.

You spotted a good stock on a track to beat many insurance companies within 5 years.
I have taken position and will still buy more.
Looking at Q1 last year, I believe this year Q1 will surpass it. Take a look at the last Q1 result below.

I will not be surprise to see it on full bid today

I buy the stock of good companies with set Target of at least 1M unit, which I often achieve within 1 year @ most. This implies that I do not look at what the chat is saying.

That's the point. Not saying it's impossible to make money but you are more likely going to get burnt in a bear market.

That is why the chart is there to guide traders.
Traders always trade on liquid stocks or any stock they know the way to exit peacefully.
When they spot bears, they sell off and wait for another entry. They hardly get trapped on a stock except they choose to.

@ Deadlytruith, I don't use to send DM or respond to it.I would have like to send you Dm on Iei stock.

I wanted both of us to rub mind on the stock you spotted which I think is good. Your action of not responding to my messages is not a good one. I can't do that to you.

I worked so much on that stock throughout last week and now it is a BUY stock. I got a lot at 1.20 and 1.22.I will continue to buy until I meet my target. You can average down at these prices or below but getting the stock at below 1.20 will be extremely difficult for now because liquidity and good trading setup is created for the stock at this time only. I will review the stock again after Q1 result.

Loco has said it here publicly that his GOAL is to have ENOUGH capital to invest and forget all the headaches of jijo.

Good morning,
Let me put mouth small so that people will not depend solely on Jijo with huge capital.

All the years I have been in this market, it is only in this Tinubu Administration that I got 50million Million naira and above.

Now I don't do Jijo again.I make much researches on the stock to put my money whether dividend or no dividend. I only put my money in stocks I think can give me 100% or more no matter the time it will take but must come. I don't go for 20% again with huge funds.

I will also be spotting opportunities for people who can buy and sell within a short period especially the swing traders.

Whilst it is good to look at the current EPS, also look at the Revenue reserves/accumulated losses to figure how many years it will take to wipe out.

The shareholder's fund value, Statement of Financial Position and notes to the account contain some more insights.

The best idea now is to dive in at a bargain zone which is 95kobo - #1.05

It was part of my school fees those days.it was later reconstructed to 5 for 1 .Then news later came that new investors was going to buy us out at #1.60 I think since 2 or 3 yrs now.No one paid us after that. The next the stock resumes trading this yr.So we don't know the position of past arrangement/agreements reached.

Thank you for this response.
If that is the case, they can't pay off minority below #1.60.From my observations the insurance company has turned around and now in a new office.

Buying btw #1.00 to #1.21 to sell at #1.60 is not a bad pattern of trading.

The new investor may also decide to carry their shareholders along but not by sinking the price.

I am interested in acquiring some stakes here since they have the lowest OS among other insurance stocks and a good EPS & positive results.

Deadly truth & other investors of IEI,

I am still waiting for the answer of the question I asked yesterday.

IEI will be trading at a bargain junction today. The stock is likely to touch #1.21 today.

If they still have their minority shareholders in mind, buying at the lowest price of #1.21 today shouldn't be neglected.

My worries
I learned the core investor bought the company 100% at 1.60 per share.Based on their latest report, the core investor has 50.6% of the total shares. From my findings, the core investor has applied for a mandatory takeover bid of the remaining 49.4% which belongs to the minority shareholders but at what price?

Whichever way, the stock at #1.21 down to #1.00 is a win win and I will be entering the stock at it's 10% loss today.

Still expecting your views/opinions on this matter.

@ Deadlytruith & other IEI investors,
Good morning,
I hope you did your DD before investing in IEI
I want to believe going by the latest result published by IEI @ NSE, It is not suppose to trade below #2.50 by now but reverse is the case.

Sometime in 2022, an investor bought it 100% at #1.60 kobo per share and later we saw the core investor is holding only 50.6% of the 1.2B shares.

Can you shed more light on the stock as I can see it going below #1 which means there is something we don't know about IEI.

I am equally interested in this stock because it a type of stock that matches my picks and I am watching it like hawks.
