I would be highly disappointed in Almighty UI if it does not paste this list today as it is stated on its website...

femi2131: To anybody coming in tru DE into the college of medecine ur result is what is important..not the number of sittings...there may be problem later but not now...chek the school website later in the night...the names of the succesfull candidate will be pasted there.. Ãήϑ if ur name is not there don't worry another list is still coming out

Yes, I'm aware of that for JAMBITES; but I feel their should be a kind of consideration for good first degree holders 'cos it's not clearly stated in the requirements...or what do you think?

Pls all, I need your view on this: do you think someone who doesn't have a strong financial back-up could get a kind of part-time job in the school envrons to make do with him self? may be after school hours or weekends. Staylites, please update us with how such students survive...pls I need someone's reply on this. Thanks.

@ all, it is now confirmed on UI website that our names (DE) has been sent to Abuja for approval and that the list will be released on same website next week Monday 1st of October, 2012. So to calm the tension, let's try as much as possible to keep this thread lifely with suggestions, questions and answers till the d-day. Best Wishes...

@ Johnotas, like Lilerih said in an earlier post: there is nothing God cannot do. Just let's keep our fingers crossed and have faith 'cos I've come to realise that virtually all of us have one issue or the other with our applications; afterall it was not displayed on UI Website that MBBS applicants should submit their NYSC Certificates along with their transcripts. I pray that God will see us trough...AMEN
Less I forget, since you are a graduate of UNIBEN, why didn't you apply to your former school for DE?

Lilly001: Zezeny is a final year student of oau ife, history and international relations, u cant serve twice in nigeria, so after he finishes in oau in december, he dnt need to serve, he will do d serving when he finishes from UI. Oluafolabi too is an oau student so he don resume too, so both of dem (zezeny and oluafolabi) will rarely post here o. @ all Good Morni , av a 9c day ahead

Just hope they're nt over 25 cos if they'l be upto 30 b/4 finishing in UI, they may not be able to serve

@All,I need ur valuable advise,I'm from Oyo;I graduated from an eastern University where they claimed my CGPA was 4.49&I was given a 2.1 degree Cert.I applied for DE to UI and I had to request my former School to send my transcript to UI;when I went to UI admission office to submit some other documents,I saw my transcript &I realised I actually made a CGPA of 4.50 which is a first class,and my Cert. is carrying a Second Class Upper. Now I'am afraid the descrepances might affect my admission. What's ur view?

Yes U're right, the 2nd batch is for JAMBITES; but based on last year's procedure, DE list came out with the 2nd batch list on the same page, so hopefully, ours too will come out with JAMBITE 2nd batch list. Hope you get my explanation.

Kenny2012: I've not received and I've not heard of any DE candidate that received.I doubt if it's applicable to us.

@freshers, assuming you run 4 courses in ur 1st semester Yr.1 as follows. Here is how ur GP will be calculated based on 5 points.
GNS 101Use of English 2 units and you scored B 2*4=8
MTH 101General Mathematics 3 units A 3*5=15
CHM 101Basic Chemistry 2 units C 2*3=6
PHY 101General Physics 3 units B 3*4=12
Then ur GP for the semester=Total Points Obtained/Total Units i.e8+15+6+12/2+3+2+3=41/10 = 4.10GP. Very good second class upper

@Zezeny, U're very funny, counted me among the international viewers...lol. OK, I think I have a valuable contribution concerning Grade Point calculation; I graduated from Anambra State University where 5 points is used and I am a DE applicant in UI. Here is the grading system nationwide:
4.5-5.0 First Class
3.5-4.49 Second Class Upper
2.4-3.49 Second Class Lower
1.5-2.39 Third Class
1.0-1.49 Pass.

Yap, yesterday,I submitted my transcript;when the man in charge realised that I was goin in for Medicine,he requested for photocopies of my degree certificate&NYSC to be sent latest Monday.

I'm not applying with A'level, I'm applying with a first degree in Microbiology (Second Class Upper). Is there a way I could calculate points for that?

Akby: Finally DE registration process ends today... Success to my co applicants and everybody. Yeah the thing on ground is that a reliable source said after evaluating DE applicants, 2nd batch Jambites and DE student names would be pasted at a go depending on how fast the institution evaluate DE credentials cos it's likely we don't write exam. For those who had lost hope on 2nd batch, there is still light at the end of the tunnel. Never dash all ur hopes cos u might be the lucky one. Happy Ramadan celebration to muslim peeps on board. The list is about 80% completed and jamb gaz need approve it before posting on their website. Ciao!

I am also a DE aspirant in UI and I did not receive any message regarding that. Anyway, just try to re-register your details asap.
