gidjah: i believe the poster above gave a good explanation to this... but lemme chip in something small to be honest several persons have ended up buying laptops they do not need or something below thier requirement because they say they are going for new ones... if you want a good laptop from the carton rather brand new with such specs you know you have to pay through the nose but when you find one being branded for sale online, they take advantage of it... the long and short of my point is... we nigerians are penny wise pound foolish, just go to ikeja comp. villa, you will know what is meant by people buying fufu and all sorts of things that true happens... just as a point of note, to those who may stumble upon this... beware of cheap tinx, only 1/10 cheap sales/buys end up being of good health... no matter what, wait for your time to buy what you want... 1 Like |

SSD meaning SOLID-STATE DRIVE am not a detailed hard drive specialist but i stil know that an SSD is far better DRIVE than the regular HARD DRIVE... it helps a computer load to start up within seconds as compared to the regular HARD DRIVE... programmes install on the computer loads at so much quicker, savinf you the hassles of waiting on a big programme to finish loading up. SSD is a necessity for everyone |

ib4real95: i didnt state anything just to fool anybody, i stated thing just the way it is... i so much appreciate you showing you ideas here atleast it will help us all know more about laptop... but you would agree with me that the lenovo you stated hasnt got better specs than this xps 17... plus all the hard ware accessories here has all been upgraded.... i personally an asus spotting an nvidea gt480m or so and i can tell you most of my graphics and 3d needs are well taken care of with a 1gb dedicated vram... you can imagine what a 3gb vram can do in a faster processing power as this laptop has... its all about needs... by the way.. the price is N140,000 not N180,000 am still waiting for more offers |

xtremeidea: you havnt even made an offer yet... i appreciate your input very much and also bringing to our immediate notice of the generation of the processor but we all know that these new "termilogies" of generations and processors gist are all to make us keep paying year in year out for new system not forgetting the fact that the old ones does as much work if not even better work than the so called newer ones just like we see the way phone companies chunk out phones upon phones with little recorgnisable diff... this computer am talking about here is a complete power house workstation for your GRAPHICS, 3D ANIMATION, VIDEK FX RENDERING and so much more... spotting a 12gb ram and a 3gb video dedicated nvidea graphics... common guys... what more can you ask for? the high res 3d screen is for crisp details... honestly i see this offer as a big bargain... am a pc fanatic and i think this pc is a must have for anyone who values good production... |
