Romance / What To Say When U First Meet A Girl! by macrichie(m): 10:54am On May 12, 2012
When you first meet a girl, honesty and humor are the best ways to approach a conversation. Steer clear of sexual topics. Feel free to talk about yourself, but make sure you show interest in what she has to say.

Be Yourself

There's no point in pretending to be something you're not. Women are smart enough to sniff out any pretense you might put on. Instead, just be yourself. Introduce yourself, and tell her why you decided to stop and talk to her. Include a compliment. Tell her some things about yourself--where you're from, what you do, who your family is. Tell her what you like to do in your spare time. Believe it or not, women want to know who you are and where you come from. Don't make up something to impress her because eventually the truth will come out. Instead, just be sincere. And try to be funny. You don't need to tell jokes with a punchline, but throw in a funny line after telling a story or talking about something you did at work. If you make her laugh, she'll feel comfortable with you. There isn't a woman alive who doesn't like to laugh.

Keep it Clean

Sex might be on her mind, but you don't need to bring it up. Let her bring it up, whether it's in this conversation or on the third date. Every woman likes to move at her own pace when it comes to sex and romance. You won't know what that pace is until you've gotten to know her. So chances are that you will make her feel uncomfortable on the first date. Most women aren't impressed with men who curse either. Be polite in the way you talk. Try to use complete sentences, too, so she knows you can hold your own in a conversation. But don't try to impress her with your knowledge and vocabulary either. She will smell the desperation.

It's Not About You

If she's talking too you, a woman obviously wants to know about you. Don't be afraid to talk about yourself. Mention a book you're reading or a movie you saw. Talk about your job if you think it's interesting. But don't get too personal. She doesn't want to hear about your ex-girlfriend because she will see it as a clue that you're heart is elsewhere. With that said, you should spend as much time as possible letting her do the talking. Let her tell you about herself. And pay attention, so you can ask her questions about what she is saying. Let her know that you are interested in who she is. If you want to win her over, you need to make her feel special. There's no better way to do that than asking her about herself.
