KDB who has a tendency to push forward in his quest for goals and assist can not play as a midfield controller. Kroos is always calm on the ball just like xavi. He distributes the passes well.... And modric has the freedom to bomb forward due to kroos' presence.

Kroos is a good player who has been fortunate to play in 3 exceptional teams and as such have a good career.

But career and ability are two different things.

Benzema is another one at Madrid who has had an exceptional Career which is not commensurate to his ability. Khedira is Another one like that - he just happened to be around teams that are in their prime.

nobody will dare build a team around Kroos despite his glittering career.

KDB on the other hand is the MAIN man in any team he plays in. ANY.

If you want to compare Careers, then Kroos comes up top.

if you want to compare ability however.....

One is really a central midfielder, the other is really an attacking midfielder. The central midfielder as expected is better in possession while the attacking midfielder scores more and makes more assists.
They are both world class but one is more accomplished than the other by virtue of the teams he has played in. This question has no answer.
