Majority of people condemning Jagaban are the same set of people that will first call him out and start calling him names if the whole issue turned to big crisis. Thank you Jagaban for saving Rivers State, no single bullet is shot, pipelines are intact, businesses are going smooth and the companies in Rivers state are not relocating away from the state. yarimo: |
Tinubu should give the person another appointment. We need someone like that in 2027 as Lagos State governor. When you show hatred don't expect love in returns. |
Gov. Adeleke needs to suspend the kings of the two towns. budaatum: |
Many Houses Burnt In Ifon, Ilobu SaharaReporters on Saturday obtained videos showing the arson and wanton destruction of properties in what residents believed the government should have shown more urgent security attention. Many residents have been displaced and houses burnt following the renewed communal crisis between Ifon-Osun and Ilobu communities in Osun State. SaharaReporters on Saturday obtained videos showing the arson and wanton destruction of properties in what residents believed the government should have shown more urgent security attention. Witnesses told SaharaReporters that the communal crisis between Ifon-Osun and Ilobu, which is now eight times in 18 months, has claimed "no fewer than 30 lives with many houses, shops and vehicles burnt into ashes." A former councillor from Ifon Orolu in Osun State identified simply as Azeez was reportedly killed as the boundary disputes involving Ifon and Ilobu communities resurged. It was not immediately clear how the deceased met his death. But a resident of Ifon, who spoke on condition anonymity for fear of attack, said Azeez was confirmed dead at the Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, early on Friday. Also, during the bloody clashes involving the communities, several houses were reportedly razed. The All Progressives Congress in Osun State has meanwhile slammed Governor Ademola Adeleke over his alleged ineffective handling of the crisis, while calling on the President Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian government to wade in. The APC Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, in a release said the "deep-seated incapability of the Osun State Governor is manifesting again with the resurgence of the communal crisis between Ifon-Osun and Ilobu." He said, "The crisis between Ifon-Osun and Ilobu has become a recurrent decimal as all the efforts of the Adeleke administration to nip it in the bud has proved abortive as there has not been desired political will by the ruling government to solve the problem. "We commiserate with the relations of the victims of the needless crisis who have lost their beloved ones due to the fact that the man at the helm of affairs in the state has not got what it takes to attract peace and good governance. "It is on record that Iddo-Osun, Egbedi, Esa-Oke and other communities in the state have recently got their own share of the carnages induced by the inability of Governor Adeleke to give good leadership. "We are not unaware of the fact that it has been pretty difficult for the embattled Governor Adeleke to install peace in the affected communities because some of the promoters and leg soldiers of the crises are members and chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). "How would criminals on rampage fear the government when the chief executive of the state has over the period proven he is a lover and an enabler of crime with his close association with the known and notorious criminals in the state?" The APC continued, "As at last count, the notorious criminal, Olamilekan Emir Ajagungbade, facing charges of murder, terrorism and armed robbery, is an appointee of Governor Adeleke. So also, Nurudeen Alawonle, who was recently arrested with serviced police pistol. Kazeem Oriade, Senior Special Assistant ( Security Matters) to Governor Adeleke is also a gun-wielding troubler of peace, who some days ago was accused of leading hoodlums to unleash mayhem on the people of Egebedi over land dispute with Ede, the hometown of the governor. "If Governor Adeleke does not enjoy the unrest, massacre and wanton destruction of property going on in Ifon, Ilobu and other parts of the state, he would not continue to tolerate crooks, gunmen and terrorists around him. "Is Governor Adeleke privy to the ongoing butchery in Ifon-Osun and Ilobu or he is just a victim of crass and palpable incompetence? "Is he committed to peace in the affected areas or he is just overwhelmed? If he is truly innocent, then it is time for him to seek external help so the wanton killings of the innocent citizens and properties would stop. "We call on the Federal Government and President Bola Tinubu to, as a matter of urgency, come to the aid of the people of the feuding communities by instructing the statutory security services to take control as the state governor has demonstrated sheer lack of capacity to protect and secure the lives and property of the citizens of Osun State." Meanwhile, the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, in a release by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, said he had directed immediate security operations to restore peace between Ifon and Ilobu communities, urging the peace committee to revive the peace deal. https://saharareporters.com/2025/03/22/many-houses-burnt-ifon-ilobu-communal-crisis-osun-state-apc-slams-governor-adeleke-seeks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFFeZmE6K2E?si=nAM_9efMYZWgm3M3 |

The news is so heart breaking. I saw the news on Twitter yesterday and I begin to ask myself if the suspect is a human at all. How could you shot at a 13 years old boy JSS 1 student simply because he jumped into your compound to pick their ball. |

This is serious. I'm very sure his later father must have stylishly gave him something from the occult society to eat or take his photo or clothes to the society reason they're appearing to him. The person should try and go back to wherever his father was buried to talk to the man. He should go to his grave side and call his father every name they used to call him while alive and let him know he's not interested to be a member of the society. He should beg him to settle himself with the society so they can let him out of their coven. Obiedun: |

Ebuka I know you're pained the people of Rivers State embraced peace. Burning of houses, cars, looting of peoples properties, raping and all form of nonsense won't solve anything but dialogue. Fubara and his lawmakers should settle within the space of 6 months and return back to their offices. Ebubu: |
May his reign be peaceful and prosperous. 6 months is enough for Fubara and the lawmakers to come back into their right senses. |
How come Tinubu didn't remove the Governor of Osun state? How come he didn't remove the governor of Jigawa state? So you expected him to fold his arms and watch as they're about turning Rivers state upside down? When they start killing people, burning properties you will still blame Tinubu for not acting as a president. Princedapace: |
This is normal, opposition must talk. Let Tinubu start sharing one one million naira for every Nigerian today, opposition will still talk. lexy2014: |
Your wish and prayer on Rivers State won't come to pass. They have chosen peace over violence. Penguin2: |
Thank you Tinubu for your early intervention. |
Don't mind the hypocrites jumping around as if he can change the executive order. Fubara was elected by the people of Rivers State to serve them. The House of Assemblies members were also elected by their people to represent their constituency, so how come Fubara has power to go and demolish their own complex, denied them the right to serve their people they're representing and some people are fighting and defending such a heartless governor. Let see who will change the presidency order. Bobodee09: |
So Tinubu should fold his arms allowing the governor and assembly members turning a whole state into a banana republic? Then later blame the same president of not been proactive? A sitting governor saying he will tell his boys when to enter? They are blowing the pipelines already. The level of indiscipline Baba Buhari tolerated so people won't call him dictator won't repeat itself. Obaseki committed alot of atrocities because Baba Buhari looked away, denied members of assemblies their constitutional rights to serve their people and he got away with it. Now the Presidency have checked Gov. Fubara and also clip the wings of Gov. Adeleke, I think any governors trying to turn lord over state assemblies or local government chairmen will have a rethink. fergie001: |
![]() The issue here is that Jagaban is always 100 steps of his mates. Meanwhile, for people saying Jagaban needs 2/3 of the National assembly to suspend Fubara, I think this is a joke taken too far. If Fubara can present his budget to 4 assemblies members, what is wrong in President Tinubu getting 10 assemblies members too? How I wish Tinubu can as well follow the footsteps of Fubara and demolish both the assemblies complexes, denied both the senate and Rep from sitting down and start building a new complex maybe in May and still go on live broadcast and brag without him being the president there won't be senators and representatives. Then start saying how many of them come to his house to eat on Christmas day, then seize their allocations. |
Welcome back bros. I just dey observe I have not been seen your message for few days now. Infact, state of emergency ni oooo ![]() LegendHero: |
