U are displaying the highest level of ignorance. The raid they carried out on Pakistan soil was totally unknown to the Pakistan intelligence unit and their army. It was a highly classified mission. The Pakistan government was totally embarassed and shocked by the raid. The helicopters used were purposely built for the operation with stealth technology, flying at low altitude without being noticed, no noise at all. Osama couldn't even notice that helicopters were hovering over him in the building. Pakistan government didn't even have the slightest idea that Osama was lodging in the building. It takes a ghost to locate a ghost. It was a ghost operation.

The Pakistani military were not aware of the operation, the full story is online somewhere.
After the US traced Osama to Pakistan US intelligence noticed the building in a compound with unusually high fence and no form of external telecommunications. Rather people went in and out at certain times.the couriers were tracked and it was discovered that they were ferrying information to and from know Bin Laden associates.
The rest is history.
