The land area of Oyo State in Nigeria is approximately 28,454 square kilometres.

Oyo state is not bigger than the entire south east but bigger than 4 sates in the south east.

However, a state like kwara with land area of about 36,825 square kilometres is bigger than the entire south east.

It is better to request for Ibadan state without comparing it with south east states or LGA in Bayelsa.
