LiteratureHot ebook romance story: LAGOS HEATS by Maikl55(op):
Hi everyone i hope you would like the story

Chapter 1: Sparks in Surulere

The sun baked the streets of Surulere with Lagos intensity as Ada adjusted the mannequin outside her tiny fashion studio. Her hands, covered in chalk and thread, trembled slightly. The pop-up fashion event was just hours away, and everything had to be perfect. For once, she wasn't just sewing — she was showing.

Then she saw him.

Tall. Dark. A tailored black kaftan hugged his frame like it was born on him. His walk was slow, confident, and every eye on the street followed him. Ada looked up from her designs and felt her heart skip. Not the usual Lagos "he's fine" moment — this was something deeper.

"Nice work," he said, gesturing to a red Ankara piece draped on the mannequin.

"Thanks," she replied, brushing her braids back and trying to focus.

"I'm Dimeji." He smiled. Smooth, but his eyes hid something. Something cold.

"Ada."

Just that. And something sparked.

Chapter 2: First Touch

Dimeji’s invitation to dinner wasn’t a request — it was an offer she couldn’t refuse. He was unlike anyone Ada had ever met. She’d seen men with money before, but Dimeji moved differently. The way he spoke, the way he made her feel like she was the only person in the room—it was magnetic.

At the high-end restaurant in Victoria Island, the night was filled with expensive laughter, designer shoes, and soft jazz music. But when Dimeji’s hand brushed Ada’s arm, the entire world seemed to pause. She felt it—that spark. His smile was a perfect curve, and the moment felt suspended in time.

"You don’t belong in a place like this, Ada," he said, his voice low. "But I think you should."

She chuckled nervously, unsure of what to say.

"I don’t need your money," she replied, looking away, not wanting to admit how much she did need it.

Dimeji leaned forward, eyes never leaving hers. "It’s not about the money. It’s about the chance."

Chapter 3: Ghosts in the Dark

The next morning, Ada barely had time to check her phone before Dimeji showed up unannounced at her studio. "You forgot your scarf," he said, holding up the black silk scarf she had left at dinner.

She didn’t know whether to feel flattered or suspicious. Dimeji’s presence was intoxicating but confusing. As she stepped outside to meet him, something felt off.

A car screeched to a halt near them. Two men with guns jumped out, aiming directly at Dimeji. Ada froze, her heart pounding. She tried to pull Dimeji away, but he moved with the grace of someone who had done this before. The men shouted his name — "Dimeji!" — before he knocked one to the ground with a swift move, disarming the other before he even blinked.

Ada’s legs gave way beneath her, and she stumbled back, staring at Dimeji in shock.

"Dimeji, what the hell—"

"Go inside," he growled. His voice was cold, detached.

Chapter 4: Confession and Caress

That night, after the chaos outside her shop, Ada sat on the edge of her bed, her heart still racing. She had barely spoken to him all day. Dimeji appeared at her door, his face tired but determined.

"I owe you an explanation," he said. His eyes held a vulnerability that had been completely absent before. "I’m not just a businessman, Ada. I have enemies. Dangerous ones."

Ada studied him, her voice barely above a whisper. "Who are you really, Dimeji?"

He sighed, sitting next to her. "I used to work with a gang, a cybercrime syndicate. We laundered money through tech companies. I tried to get out, but they won’t let me. And now they know about you."

Ada’s breath hitched. He reached out, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear, his touch soft but urgent.

"They won’t hurt you, Ada. I won’t let them
