I don't endorse it. However, that is not the case in OP's marriage. Except you are askin for future purposes. Either way, I believe if his intentions are noble, the husband should be made aware. Especially if it is a huge sum that would reflect in her standard of living. How that would pan out is what I don't know as the average man is egoistic and territorial.
