All prospective batch A 2012 Corpers,who are interested in working their posting to their respective choice States should call Manifest on 0818 288 7781. ENTRY CLOSES FEBRUARY 1OTH A. REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION All prospective corps members who obtained their first degrees or Higher National Diplomas outside Nigeria must present the following. (i) International Nigerian travelling passport which must indicate when you departed Nigeria and when you arrived. The passport must also carry the student entry visa. In a situation where one has more than one International passport, both passports should be brought for the purpose of Evaluation, and those with dual nationality should come along with both Nigerian passport and that country's passport where he/she nationalised (ii) Original West African School Certificate (WASC/NECO) or High School Diploma (for those who schooled in USA) or General Certificate of Education (GCE) or its equivalent with atleast 5 credits in 2 sittings including English and Mathematics . Please note that all those who do not meet these requirements would be referred to Federal Ministry of Education for evaluation. All those who are still carrying statement of result should obtain the original certificates before they can be attended to. (iii) First Degree Certificate or statement of result indicating that you have been awarded the degree. All those with letters of attestation stating that they have completed their studies without indicating that they have actually passed and the degree awarded to them should not bother to come forward for registration. (iv) Detailed original transcript or mark sheet (for those who graduated in India) of the first degree showing all the courses undertaken and the scores obtained. (v) All Medical Doctors or Optometrists must show evidence that they have completed their housemanship or internship and registered with the Nigerian Medical and Dental Council or Nigeria Optometrists Association of Nigeria (vi) All graduates of pharmacy must show evidence of registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria. B. THOSE WITH CERTIFICATES AND TRANSCRIPTS NOT WRITTEN IN ENGLISH It is the responsibility of all graduates who studied in non-English speaking countries and those whose certificates and transcripts were not written in English to ensure that they get their certificates and transcripts translated into English by approved translators in Universities or embassies. |

FOREIGN-TRAINED NIGERIAN GRADUATES: REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION OF FOREIGN TRAINED PROSPECTIVE CORPS MEMBERS The NYSC scheme which was established in 1973 is responsible for the mobilization of Nigerian youths who have successfully completed a higher education (Degree or HND) either within Nigeria or oversees for the one year compulsory National Service. Nigerians who studied outside Nigeria are expected to register at the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters,Tigris Cresent off Aguyi Ironsi Street Maitama Abuja. The registration is never done by proxy. Therefore foreign trained graduates are expected to be physically present and are to present the originals of the following documents: i West African School Certificate (WASC) or GCE O level, GCSE, IGCSE, SSCE,NECO, Higher School Diploma for those who schooled in U.S.A etc.(must have 5 credit in at least 2 sittings including English and Mathematics) ii.First University Degree or HND Certificate iii. Complete Transcript of the Degree or HND iv Marks-sheets (for Indian Schools only) v . International Nigerian Passport, (if you have a dual citizenship,bring both Nigerian and other passports) showing: a) First Departure date from Nigeria b) Student Visa c) Last arrival date into Nigeria vi Registration Certificate with Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (for Pharmacists only) vii Registration Certificate with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (for Doctors only) viii) 3 passport photographs. Note also that: 1. Foreign trained Nigerian graduates don't have a choice of a state to where to be posted. However, Married women would be posted to where their husbands are domiciled PROVIDED they present their MARRIAGE CERTIFICATES and EVIDENCE OF CHANGE OF NAME. 2. Registration is not done by proxy. All prospective Corps Members must therefore appear PHYSICALLY at Evaluation Division of Corps Mobilization Department to register. All foreign trained prospective Corps Members who intend to participate in the 2011 Batch C Orientation course must complete registration on or before 14th October 2011.
