The transmission electronic module has definitely set a code or some codes that have probably amd electronically lock the transmission selector due to low voltage from the dead battery. First scan it, check the doc codes and clear the codes. It should get reset like that. I have corrected such a scenario on one Nissan Armada jeep before.

Already tried that , but the code is still there , I think Kewtt might be right- something’s been erased or perhaps corrupted.

Very strange but possible Benz with different modules,have they confirm the wiring to the ISM ? We had similar experience it was fuse that was bad after replacing it works fine

Truth be told , I haven’t been able to sleep for days , have been on my breaking point.
because every mechanic I invited tells me the same thing: ‘Replace the transmission or VGS.’ But I know that can’t be right.

I’ve even gone as far as showing one of them videos explaining the problem, but he still insisted on replacing the transmission. It’s like, Hello ! The vgs is corrupted, can’t you”ll see that .

I am now starting to feel like most mechanics aren’t familiar with this specific issues, , Really would appreciate if anyone here can help recommend someone that can actually fix this

What is the P051300 error code?

The P051300 can sometimes occur in FDCT transmissions in the w176, w177 A-class, w117, w118 CLA-class, w156, w157 GLA-class, and w246, w247 B-class vehicles.

It happens when the battery voltage drops too low. The data in the memory of the FDCT transmission is getting corrupted.

Up until recently, there was no fix for this problem, and the only way to make the car start up, was to buy a new transmission module, that costs between 400 and 600 EUR.


Luckily, there is now a way to fix this problem, with the right tools, for a fraction of the price.

With this service you are able to repair the FBS3 and FBS4 drive authorization problem with the following fault code: P051300 The start enable was not inssued.


Please be aware that this is only a calculation function which require data reading from the FDCT transmission module with additional tools.

I already watched several videos online, and they all point to the same direction . I even found one video where a guy fixed the same issue on a 2016 CLA 250, but unfortunately, he's based in the United States .

So I really don’t if you or anyone here can help out? I just need some kind of specialist in Lagos who can make this happen .

As a matter of fact it been stuck in park for the last 3 days now , So I called a mechanic , but the Guy is telling me it's a transmission ism issue. Honestly, I'm just so confused right now.

Any one have any idea what Might be causing it .
