The truth is: most nigerians dont consider future in their spending...y not spend at least 200k on their fees and open a savings account for d kids,so they can feed on in case of unforseen emergency.

bbm and 2go were never worldwide.....facebook messenger has one billion users and its worldwide;whatsapp is d biggest in d world;wechat is almost a billion-user app,used by asians especially chinese;line/viber and skype has more dan a billion uses....while bbm is less dan a 100 million users....tell me,how diz users will ditch those app for allo.

they arent even using windows mobile.they are dumping windows mobile for full windows.they will soon launch surface phone with full laptop specs.that will be iphone killer.like how surface pro tablets are killing ipads..

Last time I checked "about to" means it's not available just yet. So we can't really say they're innovative until it's released to the end user.

These things you mentioned; sms, video call etc are things people have been yearning for since last year.
In the tech world the users are unforgiving & the bus waits for nobody. If these new Google apps fulfill some of these then it's gonna be game on.

mark my word:allo and duo will never reach 5 million users before google kill dem.......in case u dont know: project tango,fiber,project ara,now on tap,nexus,pixel,cardboard,hangouts and even upcoming daydream and fuchsia os are dying or alredy dead

Least I forget, there's also talk of integrating both Allo & Duo into the Android os itself, that move alone could be WhatsApp/Skype/IMO killer

Yeah, Google has obviously got some failed projects but that's what people said when Android cupcake etc was launched.

The first time I installed WhatsApp, only 1 of my homeboy had it too & less than 5 years here we are. Tech adoption is the most dynamic trend in this generation.

At present the only thing WhatsApp got going for it is the larger user base, there's been no innovation for a long while & that's definitely going to have a backlash.

no innovation?whatsapp is about to add sms dat will finally bury allo and rival imessage.they are already testing video callin to rival skype....dey just added GIF to their service and integrated it with facebook

Yes but if you know google well then you would know they cover virtually every angle in tech. They are presently working on Lyft to battle Uber. You can look up vids on YouTube to know more about these sick guys. They actually put their R& into things and aren't scared of failing.

Lol what else from a Microsoft fan. Duo isn't dead like you claim cos I use it virtually every day and it's crisp and pretty nice. It presently has 10 million downloads

I haven't tried Allo so I don't much to say but from the review its pretty nice and the Google assistant makes it a plus. However, it will be easier fr people to download if Google can embed sms into. Google knows exactly what to do and that's integrating these apps in the core OS without needing any downloads in order not to look like a 3rd party app.


Big G should allow it to be easily used in other devices including desktop. This will aid it's usage speedily

10million downloads?didi u hear dat the downloaders deleted d app after realising their friends and foe dont use it.
Lack of full is allo biiggest killer...in case u dont know: whatsapp and skype are already testing their messenger with sms.and u know what dat means? Allo is already dead.apples fans are already engrossed into imessage...why would one dwload duo and allo when skype or whatsapp can do better than d two combined...

By d way,google wont even launch desktop version because of hatred it has for microsoft.even hangout never had,xcept web version.that action will be another deal breaker for allo enthusiats.


The major reason y ppl wont even use it is : privacy....snowden has warmed people from using it due to invasive nature of google.

U dont xpect people to switch over to allo overnight.

Failure of google to get a message app will eliminate google in AI and bot race.facebook,amazon and microsoft are at d forefront of diz race.
