I'm no lawyer but your cousin bro needs to tread carefully as omo oniles can be dangerous. By the way, 2012 to this time is a lot and the land must have added value over the years. Definitely can't be sold for the 2012 amount now. If he can raise the money, tell him to pay the amount or plead with the man to take a little less, then sell off the land and move on.

Please kindly help a cousin bro. I will be brief and straight to the point. My bro bought a land in 2012(100*50). He paid 490k out of the 550k then. According to him, the parents encountered accommodation problem and was given quite notice so he had to sort that out hence the part payment.
Things took a turn for the worst...The father came down with stroke and my cousin expended almost 500k. The wife took ill and almost died. In fact everyone feared she was gone die. But miraculously she pulled through. Then my bro lost his job.hard luck you might say.
All these while, he has been without job until this year.
He went back to the land seller who has aware of all his travails. He went with the mind of trying to offset the balance but the seller is saying he will no longer collect 60k( that's not the problem though). He is requesting for over 200k.
One detail I missed- my cousin invited him to the police station about 2years ago where an agreement was signed for the land to be sold and my cousin be refunded 600k or anything near that.
The crazy thing now is that the seller said once this year ends, my cousin should not bother him about the land and that he has no business with him.
Pls experts in the house. How do you see this issue and way of resolving it. My cousin is no longer interested in the land as he already has a small parcel of land elsewhere. Pls your advice is needed as I want to go with him this week. I need your input.

your laptop supports a maximum ram upgrade of 4 gig. so just get one more 2gig ram and fill up the other slot. but for better performance, use a 2gig ram with the same speed as the one you have there already. E.g if you have a 667mhz 2gig ram already installed, u should get an exact spec of ram. the kind of RAM that fits into your board is the PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM SO-DIMM Memory. hope this helps.

it does not matter. Lenovo build very strong laptops. I actually prefer amd to Intel as amd laptops give the best display quality and can handle graphics better. This particular laptop can even handle coding and lite gaming. Even photoshop and autocad.

Just noticed it is an AMD not Intel. Should I be worried? I guess I will just up my budget and go for something better

I I'm not really savvy with computers. I am planning on buying a laptop with a spec of 2g and HDD of 160. The laptop will be used for every day stuffs ( no gaming/coding). My question is, can this laptop serve for every day purposes and can it be upgradable in future.

first you secure supervisor before you get admitted then you secure funding. Foreign scholarship is not easy to get but possible infact funding is the hardest part to phd.

To be frank you need a scholarship to do phd, ptdf is your best bet but if you are a lecturer then tetfund is also available. Before you get admitted you must be accepted by a supervisor and there are scholarships available but very competitive.

So in essence, I have to secure a scholarship first. Do they pay PhD students?

I'm presently set on undertaking my M.Sc program but I want to have a clear overview of the cost of running a PhD programs abroad, what the word tuition- free implies and if it is true that PhD students get paid. Also I want to know countries that are suitable for PhD programs. A friend mentioned New Zealand and the Scandinavian countries.im looking at Environmental Management.
Pls someone should kindly educate me.
