AutosUsed Cars Or Auto Parts Which Is More Profitable by masterjo(op): 5:01pm On Apr 11, 2015
Hello guys

Am residing in Europe and have being saving some money and want to invest into Auto business. But as a result of increase in importation duties for used vehicles, so i dont really know how profitable this business is currently. Or am also considering scraping accidental cars and sending it to naija as Auto parts.

Can someone enlighten me on the duties for cars registered between 2003 to 2008 and also more interested in Toyota products. And i will be sending these cars from Germany. I can handle the buying and shipping, but the clearing part of the business is my challenge.

So my questions are as follows
1. Is there specific clearing charges for cars registered at a particular time(like 2003 cars) ?
2. what Is the clearing charges for Auto parts ?
3. If am shipping the cars in one container, but also load some items like used electronics and clothes into the boot of the cars; will custom discover those items? will i pay extra duties for such goods? is it illegal?
4. What if am sending these cars through cotonou(i have a relation there that will clear the cars), what extra charges will i pay when bringing them across the boarder legally?

NB: i dont know if this is the right section to post this item, but any information as regards to all my questions are welcomed. Pls help me, i dont want to make mistake and loose my savings.
