The SE has considerable water resources which makes the land naturally more able to support a high population. It has more water resources than Oyo state.

However if not for migration Oyo would be the state with the highest population

They are fed fake propaganda from birth. That's their biggest problem. They are told allnsorts of weird lies in the South West. They are told lies about what motivated the first coup,. They are told lies that none of their sons was involved in the first coup. They are told lies that Biafra fired the first shot in the first coup.

They are told lies that igbos pound babies in mortars to make money and keep their mothers in wardrobes to vomit money. They are told lies that no one lives in the south-east, that all have ran away to the Southwest because of unknown gunmen. They are told lies that the east is sooooo undeveloped that easterners are running helter-skelter around the country to live.. Endless lies!

You know what's more chilling? They beleive these lies because of their utter disdain for easterners. They don't bother to check because they wish that these lies that were told to them are all truths. Raised in a culture of hate, hatred is a cultural pastime over there. Things are not helped any further by the fact that the South West are the least travelled across the country amongst the 3 major ethnic groups.

Even the minority fulani travel more than them. The farthest they travel to is Lagos. People who beleive that folks travel only as economic migrants but entertain the Chinese and Indians and Lebanese, who are all richer than them. A bemused set of culturally retrogressive set of upstarts will always find all sorts of funny tales to regale their warped fancies...

So how is Ibadan bigger than the entire southeast?

I don't know why some southwesterners are fixated on landmass that adds no economic value to the country. If we are to go by landmass Niger State alone is bigger than the entire South-West.

What's important and of economic value is the oil producing states, because oil is the main source of government revenue.
South east has 3 oil producing states
Imo, Abia and Anambra
while South west has only one which is ondo state

I didn't believe those who claimed to have developed Lagos and have bought all the land in Lagos with Lagos is no man's Land slogan can get worked up on this.



Going by economic reasons for a state creation which should be based on viability, SE should even be 1 while Oyo state should be 2. The era of monkey dey work baboon dey shop is fading away and we will soon hit a point where each region will inherit its assets and liabilities

No one will create a state in 2025 based on landmass and population but it's going to be strictly on economic viability, wail profusely as you want, nothing will change that.

The hypocrisy of SE is being exposed here, when you talk about the strength of the North they would say it is only landmass with disproportionate viability, now we ask you to throw your nonsense population away.


Nigeria has been sustaining SE with FAAC, abolish FAAC today and see the entire region crumbled
