EducationReason Why Some Admission Into Nigeria Higher Institutions Are Forfeited by Matthz(op): 7:52pm On Oct 18, 2013
Many students find themselves devastated after the denial of their admission into a tertiary institution of their choice, they might have performed well though, yet always in atmosphere of dissapointment. Here are some reason why some admissions are denied.
There're three factors to consider when talking about admission percentage. JAMB registrar, prof. Dibu Ojerinde identifies these as merit, catchment area and educational less developed state [ELDS] with the perecentage ratio of 45:35:20 respectively. Now, let's do the maths together.
CASE 1- If you're a brilliant student, mayb u have a better jamb score and a good o'level result and as well perform well in the p.utme that means you can pass on merit. Already u have 45% chance of admission, assuming the university u chose is from ur catchment are, u have additional 35% chance of admission. If u add 45%, u have 80% chance of admission.
CASE 2- Assuming u're not brilliant [perhaps, underaverage student], it means you only have 55% chance left. Due to lack of information, now, if u're nt frm ELDS, u're left with 35% chance of admission. Due to lack of info, some students who have only 35% chance will xtill choose universites out of their catchment area. That simply means they have no chance of admission. No wonder many of them fail!.
The gist is this; determine which of these factors apply to u. Your aim is to maximise the % thereby increasing your chance of admission, not by posting ur jamb score score and o'level all around and asking ur fellow mate who are perhaps ignorant of how the admission chance goes.

There's xtill another factor, we have the 60:40 science:art/commercial ratio. It's quite obvious that in many sec. sch., the number of science student is less than the art+commercial, Now JAMB says, even with their small population, universities should take more student frm science class.
So, if u find urself in art/commercial, u have to study hard, this is because admission into art/commercial courses will be very competitive especially if you are not from ELDS- Educational less developed states..., i guess with this you can estimate your chance of admission into the school of your choice.
Dating And Meet-up ZoneNever Makes A Lady Cry, Guys by Matthz(op): 6:15pm On Oct 18, 2013
Please guys, never makes a female student cry because there's nothing more expensive.
When a single drop comes out, it first mixes with 'Loreal' eyeliner(N850) and 'Dior' mascare (N1000), then when it rolls down the cheek it mixes with 'D&G' blusher (N2500), Revelon foundation (N12,500) and Mac powder (N7,500). Finally when it touches the lip, it gets mixed with Mac Ruby woo lip stick (N5,500), and Christian Dior lipgloss (N1,800).
This means that a single drop of a lady is ruining about N31,150....especially when the tear comes down and drop on her iphone, BBQ10 and Galaxys4...
GBESE!!
