European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Supercopa: Barcelona Vs Real Madrid Complete Preview by Mavinkent(op): 3:29pm On Aug 13, 2017
Spanish Super Cup Preview

The first official Clasico of the season takes place on this evening, as a buoyant Real Madrid side are hosted by fierce rivals Barcelona in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup.
The Catalan giants come into the game on the back of the bitter loss of superstar Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain for a world record fee of £198m, and will hope to prove that there is life after the Brazilian in the first clasico of the new season.
Los Blancos, meanwhile, come into the game on a high having added the European Super Cup to their coffers with a midweek victory over Manchester United, and will hope to take steps towards adding yet another trophy to their cabinet on Sunday.
Classic Encounter

Real Madrid 3 - 4 Barcelona (23/03/14)

With so many amazing Clasico ties to choose from, including the most recent, a notorious Liga tie based on Lionel Messi's iconic goal celebration alone, we eventually settled on this clash of titans during the 2013/14 season.
Though the league was eventually won by Atletico Madrid in this year, this game went some way towards making the league more competitive than it should have been.
Barcelona breathed new life into their title hopes as a Lionel Messi hat-trick helped fire them to victory in a thrilling match against a 10-man Real Madrid. Sergio Ramos (who else) was the pantomime villain here, with his 63rd minute sending off handing Barca the impetus to overturn a 3-2 deficit.

Key Battle

Aleix Vidal vs Cristiano Ronaldo

Vidal has managed to work his way into Barca manager Valverde's thinking with a series of impressive pre-season displays, keeping new €32m signing Nelson Semedo out of the side in recent games.
He will face his stiffest test yet on Sunday however, as he comes up against arguably the world's best player in Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese will be fresh having featured late against Manchester United in midweek, and can be expected to probe Vidal at every given opportunity.

Barcelona enter the 2017-18 season with a point to prove after they were made to stay in Real Madrid's shadow in 2016-17 as Los Blancos clinched Liga and swept to Champions League glory.
However, the Catalans' task of dethroning their bitter rivals has been made somewhat more difficult following the loss of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain and they are desperately scrambling to bring in suitable reinforcements before the commencement of the season in earnest.
With the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez starring in pre-season, new boss Ernesto Valverde does not seem overly concerned about the sudden departure of the Brazil star and remains focused on improving Barca's fortunes.
"I am not interested in looking back," said Valverde, who interestingly guided Athletic to a 5-1 Supercopa triumph over Barca in 2015. "We have to look at the players we have and solve problems that can arise to win matches.
"At the moment, I have some players in the team who are performing well for me. We will see if anything develops. We know that this club, like every other club, moves accordingly to the market. I am focusing mainly on what I have, the rest is up in the air."
Real, meanwhile, come into the game having already secured their first piece of silverware this season by beating Manchester United in the UEFA Super Cup earlier in the week.
After succeeding on the domestic and continental fronts last season, Zinedine Zidane's side looked somewhat vulnerable in pre-season as speculation surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo's future at the club swirled ominously in the background.
The Portuguese was given an extended break following his involvement in the Confederations Cup and did not play a part in any of the preparatory friendly matches. However, Ronaldo returned to the club last week and, after a cameo in the Super Cup, looks primed to lead the capital club into another gruelling campaign.
Barcelona Team News
Barcelona have nearly a full complement of players to choose from after the team came through their Joan Gamper Trophy win over Chapecoense unscathed last weekend.
Long-term injury absentee Rafinha remains sidelined through injury, but new signings Gerard Deulofeu and Nelson Semedo are in line to feature in their first competitive game since joining this summer.
Of course, the fixture will also mark Barca's first competitive fixture without Neymar following the Brazilian's world-record transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
Potential starting XI: Ter Stegen; Pique, Umtiti, Alba, Vidal; Busquets, Iniesta, Rakitic; Deulofeu, L. Suarez, Messi
Real Madrid Team News
Cristiano Ronaldo came on as a late substitute in Real's UEFA Super Cup win over Manchester United earlier this week and should be in line for a starting position against Barca.
New signings Theo Hernandez and Dani Ceballos have yet to make their competitive debuts, having missed a chance in the UEFA Super Cup, but they are both included in Zinedine Zidane's 19-man squad.
Luka Modric will not play at Camp Nou, however, due to suspension.
Potential starting XI: Navas; Ramos, Varane, Marcelo, Carvajal; Casemiro, Kroos, Asensio; Isco, Ronaldo, Benzema.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Manchester United Vs West Ham (4 - 0) On 13th August 2017 by Mavinkent(op): 12:57pm On Aug 13, 2017
Venue Old Trafford
Last season Manchester United 1 West Ham United 1
Referee Martin Atkinson
Last season Games 27, Yellow card 90, Red card 3, 3.56 cards per game

Jose Mourinho has no fresh injury concerns heading into Manchester United's Premier League opener against West Ham, live on Sky Sports.
United, who finished fifth last season but qualified for the Champions League through their Europa League success, will be looking for a speedy start as Mourinho prepares for his second full season in charge.
They've spent big on three signings - Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof - while West Ham themselves have also strengthened.
Joe Hart has come in on loan, while Pablo Zabaleta, Marko Arnautovic and former United striker Javier Hernandez have also arrived at the London Stadium.
Slaven Bilic's side finished 11th last season, 17 points worse off than the previous campaign.
Manchester United lost only once at home last season but 15 draws meant they finished sixth. One of the draws was November’s 1-1 with West Ham so what José Mourinho does not want is a repeat. Losing to Slaven Bilic’s side would be unthinkable but having spent £75m on Romelu Lukaku, £31m on Victor Lindelof and around £40m on Nemanja Matic this should not occur. Jamie Jackson

Team News

Manchester United
Luke Shaw, Ashley Young and Marcos Rojo remain out as they continue to recover from long-term injuries sustained last season.
Eric Bailly and Phil Jones missed Tuesday's UEFA Super Cup defeat to Real Madrid through suspension, but their continental suspension does not impact domestic matches.
Subs - from J Pereira, Romero, Blind, Tuanzebe, A Pereira, Lindelof, Martial, Smalling, Lingard, Carrick, Fellaini, Mata, McTominay, Mitchell
Doubtful None
Injured Shaw (ankle, Sep), Young (hamstring, Oct), Rojo (knee, Jan), Wilson (knee, unknown)
Suspended None

Discipline (last season) Yellow card (78) Red card (2)
Top scorer (last season) Ibrahimovic 17

West Ham United
West Ham expect defender Aaron Cresswell to be available for their opening Premier League match on Sunday.
Captain Mark Noble has shaken off a minor toe problem which saw the midfielder miss a couple of day's training, but Michail Antonio will not be involved as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury with a run-out for the Under 23s against Everton on Friday night.
Striker Hernandez could feature against his old club, while fellow summer signings Hart, Zabaleta, Arnautovic and teenager Sead Haksabanovic could also make their Hammers debut.
Subs - from Adrián, Collins, Byram, Snodgrass, Fonte, Masuaku, Fernandes, Haksabanovic, Henry, Pask, Browne
Doubtful Lanzini (knee)
Injured Antonio (hamstring, 19 Aug), Sakho (back, 26 Aug), Carroll (groin, Sep), Kouyaté (knee, Sep), Feghouli (hamstring, unknown)
Suspended None
Form n/a
Discipline (last season) Yellow card (78) Red card (5)
Top scorer (last season) Antonio 9

Opta Stats

1). Three of the last five Premier League games between these two clubs have ended in a draw, with one win apiece in this run.

2). United are unbeaten in their last nine Premier League home games with West Ham (W7 D2 L0) - their last home league defeat against the Hammers was on the final day of the 2006-07 season.

3). No team has won more opening day fixtures in the Premier League than United (16, level with Chelsea).

4). West Ham have lost more opening day fixtures than any other Premier League club (10).

5). Jose Mourinho has won seven of his previous eight opening day Premier League fixtures as a manager (D1).

6). Mourinho has never lost a home match on a Sunday in all competitions in his managerial career, winning 86 and drawing 26 of 112 games.

7). Lukaku scored in seven straight Premier League matches for Everton against West Ham between 2013 and 2016, but failed to find the net in his last match against them in April at the London Stadium.

cool. Hernandez scored 37 goals in 103 Premier League games for Man Utd, netting a goal every 130 minutes for the club.

Prediction
What's certain is that you can put Lukaku down for a goal, so United are a goal to the good already!
But despite the new-found goal threat I don't see United winning the league, they haven't got enough guile in midfield to pick through teams who will put 10 men behind the ball.
Jose Mourinho has built a team to be big and strong, a team that will blow others away. I see that being successful against West Ham, over a 38-game season though, I'm not so sure.

PREDICT: 3-1

The prediction is my own personal opinion.....

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Newcastle Vs Tottenham Match Preview, Stats, Line Up And More by Mavinkent(op): 11:42am On Aug 13, 2017
<div class="read-more"></div>

Kick-off Sunday 1.30pm (UK)
Venue St James’ Park
Referee Andre Marriner

The two sides met on the final day of the 2015/16 season when, despite having already been relegated to the Championship, Newcastle inflicted a 5-1 thrashing on Mauricio Pochettino's team.
However, the visitors will be looking to get off to a good start at St James' Park in front of the Sky Sports cameras after recording their best-ever Premier League finish last time out.
Newcastle, meanwhile, head into the clash with manager Rafael Benitez having vowed to battle through his transfer window frustration to tackle life in the top flight head on.
The Spaniard, who guided the Magpies back into the Premier League by winning the Championship at the first attempt last season, has endured a difficult summer which has seen the club miss out on several of his main transfer targets.
While remaining hopeful of further additions before the end of the month, Benitez reaffirmed his commitment to the club despite his disappointment.

Benitez Press Conference

"Obviously, I said how I feel during this summer, but at the same time, I said that my commitment is 100 per cent with this team, this club in terms of trying to win from the first game until the last one," he said in his pre-match press conference.
"My ambition is to do well in every single game to get three points and see where we are in the table.
"I am not saying I am really pleased with everything because it's not true, but I am not saying that I will not do my best to be as high as possible in the table."

Team news
Newcastle United
US right-back DeAndre Yedlin will miss Spurs' visit with a hamstring problem picked up in pre-season.
Striker Dwight Gayle is fit after his own hamstring injury and Benitez otherwise has only a series of minor knocks to contend with, including to several of his summer recruits such as Florian Lejeune, Javier Manquillo, Mikel Merino, Christian Atsu and Jacob Murphy.
Erik Lamela (hips), Georges-Kevin Nkoudou (foot), Rose (knee) and Kieran Trippier (ankle) are all missing for Spurs.

Subs from Darlow, Krul, Colback, Hanley, Lascelles, Lazaar, Hayden, Diamé, Aarons, Mbemba, Haïdara, Gámez, Mitrovic, De Jong, Murphy
Doubtful None
Injured Sterry (groin, 26 Aug), Yedlin (hamstring, Sep)
Suspended None
Form
Top scorer (last season) Gayle 23

Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur will be without injured left-back Danny Rose when they travel to Newcastle United for their season opener on Super Sunday.
Rose, who has apologised for giving an interview criticising the club's transfer policy on the eve of the new Premier League campaign, is expected to be back in action in September as he continues his recovery from knee surgery.

Subs from Vorm, Son, Carter-Vickers, Janssen, Wanyama, Wimmer, Loft, Son, Walker-Peters, Maghoma, Harrison
Doubtful Wanyama (knee), Son (broken arm)
Injured N’Koudou (foot, 26 Aug), Rose (knee, Sep), Lamela (hip, Oct), Trippier (ankle, unknown)
Suspended None
Form
Top scorer (last season) Kane 29

Opta Stats

1). There have been 14 goals scored in the last three Premier League meetings between these two clubs at St James' Park.

2). The Magpies have won only one opening match across their last nine league seasons, but that came against Spurs; 2-1 in 2012 (D4 L4).

3). Benitez has not lost any of his previous eight Premier League home games as a manager against Spurs (W5 D3 L0).

4). This is the seventh successive Premier League season that Tottenham will play their opening Premier League game away from home.

5). Harry Kane is one goal away from a century for Spurs in all competitions - he has netted 99 goals in 165 games so far, including hat-tricks in his two previous appearances.

6). Kane has scored 20 goals in his last 15 Premier League games against newly promoted sides - three of his six top-flight hat-tricks have been against newly promoted teams (Leicester in 2014-15, Bournemouth in 2015-16 and Hull last season).

7). However, Kane has never scored a Premier League goal in August (10 games).
Gayle averaged a goal every 93 minutes in the Championship last season, scoring 23 goals; he also scored in his last top-flight appearance against Spurs for Crystal Palace in January 2015.

cool. None of the last nine winners of the Championship have won their first match in the Premier League after promotion (D2 L7). The last team to achieve this were Sunderland in August 2007, who beat Tottenham on the opening day thanks to a late strike from Michael Chopra.

9). Christian Eriksen was involved in the build-up sequence to 253 open play shots last season in the Premier League; more than any other player in the competition.

Prediction

Newcastle simply haven't signed enough players. Rafa Benitez has managed at the top of European football and I'm sure he doesn't have plans to stay in the Premier League by the skin of his teeth following promotion.
I can see this whole affair at Newcastle coming to an end soon if Rafa continues not to be backed in the transfer market. They haven't spent enough and if it wasn't for the fans I'd tip them to go down.
Spurs are as good as anybody in the league and against a Newcastle side, who will have to attack in front of their own fans, this could be a cricket score.

PhonesPhone: Whatsapp Brings Colourful Status Through A New Update by Mavinkent(op): 7:10pm On Aug 12, 2017
Whatsapp is frequently bringing new updates for their users. These updates are appearing handy because they are providing new ways to make the tasks easy. Moreover, people can easily stay connected with their friends and colleagues all the time. We have seen that Whatsapp brought a lot of new updates in last two years and it is looking beneficial for a number of professionals also. You can not only send messages only but now you can share files also. Voice and video calls are undoubtedly highly supportive for many people.
We have seen that so far most of the updates were related to increasing the capacities of the platform. Now it seems that the company is looking to change the appearance also to bring the freshness. One of the newest updates by Whatsapp will allow the users to include the colourful background to text status. This is certainly interesting because now you are not going to see just one colour. Different types of colours will add the freshness which will make the platform attractive. This new feature is looking very similar to a function of Facebook where you see a number of colour options while typing the text.
Facebook is the owner of Whatsapp. Therefore they are looking various new features which can be included in Facebook as well as Whatsapp. The whole thing may appear undoubtedly new for many people but it is certainly an exciting thing. You will find a ‘pencil’ icon on the bottom right-hand side. Therefore if you are looking to change the background colour then you may not have to wait for long. Currently, this new function is not available for all the users but there are chances that Whatsapp will bring it very soon.
This social networking platform is working regularly to check different functions. It is understandable because they want that a majority of people should be satisfied with the functions. They recently removed the text status feature before only to restore it again within a short span of time. Whatsapp knows it very well that a number of competitors will take no time to grab the market if they do not bring the new things frequently. They are also looking to make the platform more functional so that it can be beneficial for many people. This new function is a welcome move by Whatsapp. We will see many new things here in future.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Chelsea Vs Burnley Match Preview by Mavinkent(op): 2:08pm On Aug 12, 2017
Kick-off Saturday 3pm
Venue Stamford Bridge
Last season Chelsea 3 Burnley 0
Referee Craig Pawson
Last season G24, Y95, R4, 4.29 cards per game

Chelsea will be missing several key players when they start the defence of their Premier League title at home to Burnley on Saturday.
The Blues will be without injured trio Eden Hazard, Pedro and Tiemoue Bakayoko while Victor Moses is suspended and Diego Costa is in exile having been told he has no future under Antonio Conte.
Chelsea swept to the title last season with a league-record 30 wins, but it has not been smooth sailing since.
After losing the FA Cup final to Arsenal, they have had mixed pre-season results, lost in the Community Shield, again to Arsenal, and there have been reports that Conte has been frustrated by some of the club's transfer activity this summer.
But the Italian says he is looking forward to the new season: "It's a great challenge for us to try and retain the title and we are working hard. We want to be competitive and we want to fight for the title again."
Burnley, who have seen striker Andre Gray leave for Watford, finished 16th in the Premier League last season and did not win an away game until April 29.
Manager Sean Dyche hopes the Clarets do not have to wait so long for an away win this time, but acknowledges they face a challenge to improve on last season.
"It's just that win, if you get one win early doors it kills everything off," he said. "There's no grand statements from us. Are we looking to edge it forward? Yes. Is that the reality of our challenge? Yes. It's unlikely we're going to take huge jumps forward at a club like this.
"It's a continuation of the things you've seen over the last four years. How far can we continue to take it and adjust it along the way? That's the key, when to adjust it and how to adjust it. And now, it's virtually always down to finance. It's quite obviously not a level playing field."
Victor Moses’s red card in the FA Cup final means he is suspended for Chelsea’s first league game of the season. César Azpilicueta will switch to the right with the new signing Antonio Rüdiger coming in to the back three. Álvaro Morata, another new recruit, will lead the line now Diego Costa is out of favour. Burnley will miss Michael Keane in defence while Jon Walters will have a tough task replacing Andre Gray up front.

Prediction: Chelsea 2 Burnley 1

Opta stats

Chelsea are unbeaten in their previous six Premier League meetings with Burnley (W4 D2 L0).

Chelsea have won more points on opening day than any other Premier League club (54).

In fact, the Blues have not lost an opening day Premier League fixture since 1998 v Coventry, going unbeaten in their last 18 games to start the season (W15 D3).
Just one of the previous 25 reigning Premier League champions have lost their opening game in the following season - Leicester City v Hull City in 2016 (W20 D4 L1).

Burnley have lost all three Premier League opening day fixtures, scoring just one goal in those three games.

Chelsea (183) have won more points in August than any other team in Premier League history (P85, W54, D21, L10).

Chelsea summer signing Alvaro Morata (27.3 per cent) had the highest conversion rate of any striker to score 10+ goals in La Liga last season, scoring 15 goals from 55 shots (inc. blocks).

Lincoln is in the Auto market More than a decade
The last time a completely new Lincoln Navigator arrived on the scene was back in 2007. Exactly a decade later, the all-new 2018 Navigator has had its official debut, and it’s about time. Even though Lincoln updated its predecessor for 2015, it very much lacked the ability to effectively compete against its cross-town rival, the Cadillac Escalade, or even the GMC Acadia Denali. But the 2018 Navigator is different, and we’re expecting great things from it. Looking at it in the flesh, it’s apparent Lincoln focused on the styling details inside and out.
I particularly like the wheel design, at least what’s shown on the show model, along with just the right amount of chrome trim. Take note of the cool inner headlight design, too. But guessing a lot of you may criticize the front grille design, claiming its way too Bentley-like. heard similar arguments when the Continental was launched. Okay, sure, there’s definitely some Bentley influence there, but no crime has been committed. Honestly, the design works well for Lincoln. It’s bold and confident, exactly the new image Lincoln wants to project. The familiar 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost is rated at 450 hp and comes paired to a 10-speed automatic.
Lincoln claims it managed to shave off some 200 pounds compared to the last Navigator, thanks to extensive use of lightweight aluminum body panels, a la the current Ford F-150, which it shares a platform with. With three rows of seats, an abundance of luxury, and styling that’ll hopefully properly differentiate it from its upcoming Ford Expedition corporate cousin, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator is an impressive sight.
The Price Range is between $73,250 to $73,300

Science/TechnologyHow To Delete Facebook Account by Mavinkent(op): 6:42am On Aug 12, 2017
If you're ready for a social media break, here's how to delete Facebook.

Deactivating

Facebook gives you two options: two options: deactivate or delete

The first couldn't be easier. On the desktop, click the drop-down menu at the top-right of your screen and select Settings. Click Security on the left, and you'll see a "Deactivate My Account" link at the bottom. (Here's the direct link to use while logged in.)

If you're on your mobile device, such as using Facebook for iOS, similarly go to Settings > Account Settings >Security and you'll see a link that says "Account – Deactivate."

Facebook doesn't take this lightly—it'll do whatever it can to keep you around, including emotional blackmail about how much your friends will miss you.

As such, "Deactivation" is not the same as leaving Facebook. Yes, your timeline will disappear, you won't have access to the site or your account via mobile apps, friends can't post or contact you, and you'll lose access to all those third-party services that use (or require) Facebook for login. But Facebook does not delete the account. Why? So you can reactivate it later.

Just in case that expected re-activation isn't in your future, you should download a copy of all your data on Facebook—posts, photos, videos, chats, etc.—from the settings menu (under "General"wink.

Account Deletion

To fully delete your Facebook account forever and ever, go to the Delete My Account page at facebook.com/help/delete_account. Just be aware that, per the Facebook data use policy, "after you remove information from your profile or delete your account, copies of that information may remain viewable elsewhere to the extent it has been shared with others, it was otherwise distributed pursuant to your privacy settings, or it was copied or stored by other users."

Translation: if you wrote a comment on a friend's status update or photo, it will remain even after you delete your own profile. Some of your posts and pictures may hang around for as long as 90 days after deletion, as well, though just on Facebook servers, not live on the site.

Deletion on Behalf of Others

If you want to notify Facebook about a user you know is under 13, you can report the account, you narc. If Facebook can "reasonably verify" the account is used by someone underage—Facebook bans kids under 13 to comply with federal law—it will delete the account instantly, without informing anyone.

There's a separate form to request removal of accounts for people who are medically incapacitated and thus unable to use Facebook. For this to work, the requester must prove they are the guardian of the person in question (such as by power of attorney) as well as offer an official note from a doctor or medical facility that spells out the incapacitation. Redact any info necessary to keep some privacy, such as medical account numbers, addresses, etc.

If a user has passed away, a legacy contact—a Facebook friend or relative who was designated by the account owner before they died—can get access to that person's timeline, once approved by Facebook. The legacy contact may need to provide a link to an obituary or other documentation such as a death certificate. Facebook will "memorialize" the page so the deceased timeline lives on (under control of the legacy contact, who can't post as you), or if preferred, remove it.

Designate a specific legacy contact person to handle your account after your passing. You can find that under Settings > Security > Legacy Contact. Once you set one up, you'll get a notification every year from Facebook to double check that the contact should stay the same. You can also take the extra step of making sure that after you die, if the legacy contact does report you to Facebook as deceased, your account gets deleted (even if the legacy contact wants the timeline to be memorialized).

TV/MoviesThe Most Controversial Horror Movies Of All Time by Mavinkent(op): 10:39am On Aug 11, 2017
Horror movies have the power to scare the pants off of us. Whether they’re ghost stories, creature features, or tales of real-world terror, the genre is consistently able to capture an audience’s attention like few others. And horror directors love to push boundaries....to find new ways to freak and gross us out. But whether it was due to violence, gore, or suggestive content, the horror movies that have caused the biggest uproar have often gone on to become classics in the genre. Here are five horror films that caused major controversy when they first hit theaters.

1. Psycho

Psycho....Produce by (Shamley Productions)

It may seem tame by today’s standards, but Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film made censors go crazy in 1960. Psycho featured many scenes that were shocking and divisive to critics and audiences alike....including unprecedented violence and sexual content. Yes, by 1960s standards, a sequence featuring unmarried Marion (Janet Leigh) and Sam (John Gavin) partially unclothed and in bed together was scandalous. And the iconic shower scene, in which Marion meets her untimely death, was noted both for its appallingly graphic violence and the character’s nudity.
Ultimately, the hubbub surrounding Psycho was a win for Hitchcock and the studios. The film was an enormous financial success, and fans stood in long lines to get a glimpse at the film that had everyone talking. In many ways, Psycho paved the way for all future controversial horror films that followed by proving that pushing the boundaries could definitely pay off.

2. Silent Night Deadly Night

Silent Night, Deadly Night...Produce By (Slayride)

Horror filmmakers often take seemingly normal people and places and turn them into the stuff of nightmares. So Silent Night, Deadly Night wasn’t exactly breaking ground when it was released in 1984. But the reaction to this horror film, about a killer who dresses as Santa Claus, was so intense, it was pulled from theaters shortly after its release. Everyone from Siskel and Ebert to the Parent Teacher Association condemned the film for its brutal depiction of violence and its disturbing tie-in to a beloved tradition. Silent Night, Deadly Night was eventually re-released by a different distributor. But it will always be remembered not for its (limited) theatrical merits, but for the commotion it caused.

3. Cannibal Holocaust

Cannibal Holocaust....Produce By (United Artists)

This terrifying film from 1980 shocked audiences upon its release. Cannibal Holocaust uses a "found footage" narrative to tell the story of a group of filmmakers who are terrorized and ultimately killed by remote tribe. Ruggero Deodato’s film was marketed as a true story, and the gore and horror are so convincing that audiences and even authorities believed they’d actually witnessed the murder of innocent people. Cannibal Holocaust was controversial on multiple levels....for the filmmakers choice to kill real animals during the shoot and for the grotesque displays of violence. Deodato was arrested in his home country of Italy and prosecuted for obscenity. He was only able to convince the public that he hadn’t actually murdered his cast when they appeared to testify for him in court.

4. The Exorcist

The Exorcist....Produce By (Hoya Productions)

It’s considered a true horror classic....but when The Exorcist was released in 1973, it was met with its fair share of controversy. Noted for its graphic depictions of violence against and from young protagonist Reagan (Linda Blair), the film scandalized audiences. From sequences of her defiling herself with a cross while yelling obscenities to her projectile green vomit, the horrors inflicted on the young girl were too much for some moviegoers. The Exorcist caused legitimate hysteria in theaters during its initial run, causing everything from heart attacks to vomiting in the aisles. But despite its graphic content, it remains a favorite among horror fans to this day due to its unforgettable portrayal of good versus evil.

5. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre....Produce By (Vortex)

More than 30 years after its release, Tobe Hooper’s macabre tale of a chainsaw wielding serial killer and his deranged family is still considered one of the scariest and influential horror films of all time. But when The Texas Chain Saw Massacre first hit theaters in 1974, it was met with skepticism and disgust by critics. The film’s most brutal scenes....including one where a victim is impaled on an icepick....were considered deplorable by many. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre was considered so violent and disturbing, it was banned from multiple theaters across the country. But it also inspired a new generation of horror filmmakers to push the envelope even further in years to come.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Crespo Tips Manchester United To Win The League by Mavinkent(op): 9:51am On Aug 11, 2017
Hernan Crespo backed Jose Morinho team to win 2017/2018 premier league trophy
Former Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo believes Manchester United will win the Premier League thanks to manager Jose Mourinho and Romelu Lukaku.
The Premier League gets underway on Friday and Chelsea return as the defending champions after lifting the trophy last season.
However, United – who finished sixth in 2016-17 – have the edge over Chelsea courtesy of Mourinho, according to Crespo, who won the Premier League with the Portuguese at Stamford Bridge in 2006.
"I think Manchester United will win the Premier League because Mourinho has never failed in a second season," Crespo said in a Q&A via the Mirror.
"Jose is one of the best in the world. He's made history everywhere with Porto, Inter and now he can do it with Manchester United.
"It's difficult to explain, but when you play with Mourinho, you feel like the best striker in the world. There are two different people with Mourinho.
"The one in front of the camera and another Mourinho in the dressing room. I prefer the Mourinho in the dressing room, he's friendlier.
"I really like his method of training, his motivation and his passion."
Crespo added: "I think the top four will be Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal. The best managers in the world are in the Premier League now. If you think about Antonio Conte, Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Mourinho - it is a very good championship now.
"Mauricio Pochettino has worked hard to put Tottenham on another level but they are missing something."
Belgian striker Lukaku turned down the chance to return to Chelsea in the off-season as he joined United in a deal worth £75million.
Lukaku finished second to Golden Boot winner Harry Kane of Tottenham last term.
"Harry Kane is the best striker in the Premier League right now, but for me, Romelu Lukaku is the best signing of the summer transfer window," Crespo said.
"He has experience in the Premier League and scored a lot of goals at Everton.
"Now he will want to prove to everybody, and himself, that he can do it at a big club like Manchester United after it didn't work out for him at Chelsea.
"If I was a Premier League manager and had to choose between Lukaku, [Alvaro] Morata and [Alexandre] Lacazette, I would choose Lukaku, always."
