Receiving payment once product is released is appropriate. The product is still with you, not with him; if he fails to come after a given period, you may have the right to sell his product to recover your money. Services shouldn't be different. Payment method differs with businesses, all depends on your strategy.
If I give you my product to repair within an agreed time and you default, you have set me back by time and denied me full enjoyment of my product... That, you should pay for. Were I to sell that product to someone and you fail to deliver at the time agreed, you have made me lose that opportunity and probably tarnish my image before my customer.
My thoughts, your reaction will be welcome.

Well done. Thanks for the constructive words sir.

What about when you delay to fix a clients phone, will you deduct delay charges from the full service charge?

There's difference between sales and services.

This is sales and service rendered.

If you sold something, you receive your money immediately.

Or do you sell your laptop and HDD without getting payment, if your buyer didn't pay, won't you rather sell it to someone else?.

A Samsung note 8 fixed for a guy from computer village.

We changed full screen for him.

He told us an officer own the phone, he promised to come pay immediately we are done.

When we called him that all was set on Friday, he requested for video.

We sent to him, till this moment, we haven't seen him.

Seems to be a phone he wants to sell, then once he gets buyer, he will come for pick up.

Seriously, he's going to pay #20,000 for time wasted or I remove my screen.

Once his buyer is on ground, he won't have option than to pay that money.

Wish to even sell off the screen before he comes.

GodMercy2015:
