PoliticsRe: Wike: It Will Be Difficult For Opposition To Defeat Tinubu In FCT In 2027 by Memphis357(m): 10:41am On Mar 19
Cyberterror:
I trust Nyesom Wike to crush every opposition in the FCT in the 2027 election. Ireti Kingibe is a one-term senator.
Seeing an APC supporter that truly has some sense is like snow falling in the heat of noon in the month of June!

adekolaelect:
Yet all this your wailing brings nothing for you than emotional satisfaction that can't remove that man from the Kaduna prison. Are you crying BCS the visitation is successful? Are you crying that the visitation will reduce good governance in Nigeria ? Are you saying IPOB and Bolo Terrorist activity is the only thing that the government attention should sift on? Oga your wailing style is too hard that people can take you for something else if you continue like this .
The most difficult task in the world currently is finding an APC supporter that truly have sense.
PoliticsRe: Governor Peter Mbah, 5 Other Governors Went To London With President Tinubu by Memphis357(m): 7:14am On Mar 19
naptu2:
They went there because of the side events.

There are so many side events.

I created this post yesterday.

I've told you that Nigerians always make strange comments when their leaders travel and this time is no exception. I have addressed most of the strange comments, but this time I'm going to address something that I have rarely written about.

Delegations

I noticed the composition of the US president's entourage when he travelled in the 1980s. There were usually businessmen in his delegations and they usually struck deals with their hosts. I wondered why Nigerian presidents didn't do the same thing.

President Ibrahim Babangida made me happy in the early 1990s. He travelled somewhere and took people like Chiefs Gabriel Igbinedion and Sonny Odogwu with him. I was happy.

You see, the private sector is the engine of the economy and it is the private sector that grows the economy, not the government. I wanted Nigerian businessmen and companies to go out and conquer the world.

Let's jump forward a few decades to another time that I was happy. President Goodluck Jonathan travelled to Kenya sometime around 2014 and his visit shook Africa. There were reports that Africa's richest men had descended on Nairobi, some reports were about the number of private jets that flew to Nairobi and the Kenyan finance minister also spoke about it.

And over time I realised that it's not just the private sector, but the president also needs to go with heads of ministries, departments and agencies and also with state governors. We have seen the impact of such trips in recent years.

Trips to China by President Muhammadu Buhari gave us the Lagos-Ibadan Rail Line, the Railway University, the completion of the Warri-Itakpe Line, etc. He took the minister of transport with him.

Trips to the the Middle East (especially the UAE) by President Tinubu led to construction of free estates for victims of Boko Haram attacks and to programmes to render assistance to the victims.

So President Tinubu has travelled to the UK and in his delegation are state governors, ministers, business executives, etc.

Already funny Nigerians are saying that these people only went to the UK to "greet" President Tinubu. They don't know what they are talking about. There are very many events that are happening on the sidelines of the visit and they require the presence of these people (people are talking about Sanwo-Olu and General Musa, but a lot of these investments will be done in Lagos and of course Nigeria is in talks with the UK about training and equipment for our troops).

I would have created a mega thread about these events if I could still post as many pictures as I wanted.
Why is it so difficult to come across an APC supporter that has sense?
PoliticsRe: IPOB Members Protest in UK Over Tinubu Visit by Memphis357(m): 11:43pm On Mar 18
Wait , there’s something I don’t understand and still trying to warp my head around it.

Tinubu traveled to London, and government officials — including 7 governors and 7 ministers — traveled ahead to welcome him there.

And when he returns, these jobless governors and ministers will again fly back to Nigeria ahead of him, just to welcome him home?

All of this is happening while the entire country is in chaos — bombings everywhere, kidnappings occurring morning, afternoon, and night, with soldiers and generals being killed.

Honestly, this marks the end of whatever can still be called democracy in this country.

I have never seen governance this deplorable and absolutely stupid as Bola Tinubu's administration.

APC is in power, Peter Obi is not, but guess who APC members talk about everyday?
Not their government in power, but Peter Obi.
It tells you all you need to know about not just their priorities but the person that can take them out of power.

PoliticsRe: Official Welcome Ceremony For President And Mrs Tinubu In The UK by Memphis357(m): 2:05pm On Mar 18
Watianoengineer:
How can Igbos expect nigerians to vote out a president that command respect all around the globe for the untested Peter Obi. Nonsense.

Tinubu will defeat any opposition coalition, we sane Nigerians stand by him
And your poverty-stricken state will still remain undefeated
PoliticsRe: Official Welcome Ceremony For President And Mrs Tinubu In The UK by Memphis357(m):
Bola Tinubu is the source of ALL the problems in Nigeria. His politics is archalc, w!cked, & d!rty. This was Jan 2012 at Ojota Lagos. He sponsored a bunch of CSOs against GEJ. Fuel was hiked from ₦65 to ₦87 when Bola Tinubu decided to shut down the country for 2 weeks.
Now that fuel subsidy has been removed, where are those tribalistic, hypocritical, and sentimental f00ls that were calling for Goodluck Jonathan's removal? Why aren't they protesting now that fuel prices are over 1000% higher than 2012?

Na my prayers for dem be this before this year end

PoliticsRe: Roads Closed In UK For President Tinubu's Convoy (Video) by Memphis357(m): 11:34pm On Mar 17
The APC-led government under Bola Ahmed Tinubu seems increasingly driven by optics and international PR rather than measurable progress at home. The same pattern played out during the visit involving the President’s wife to the United States, where allegations emerged that millions of taxpayers’ funds were spent lobbying U.S. Congress members to manufacture political legitimacy abroad. Now, the UK state visit follows the same script elaborate foreign engagements while insecurity, economic hardship, and governance failures persist domestically. These trips no longer appear coincidental but part of a calculated effort to polish Nigeria’s image overseas while unresolved crises deepen at home.
PoliticsRe: 2027: Tinubu Directs All Appointees Seeking Elective Offices To Resign March 31 by Memphis357(m): 11:08pm On Mar 17
Please take note that the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd); National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu; and Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed are all on Tinubu's entourage to UK while suicide bombers run amok in Nigeria.

APC people, I hope you all still remember why Goodluck Jonathan to go!

From Abacha to Now: Are We Watching Opposition Politics Being Silenced Again?

In 1998, under Sani Abacha, Nigeria had five political parties; the United Nigeria Congress Party, Congress for National Consensus, Grassroots Democratic Movement, Democratic Party of Nigeria, and National Centre Party of Nigeria.

But in reality, there was no opposition.

All five endorsed one man.

No competition. No resistance. No real choice.

Today, under Bola Ahmed Tinubu, we are told we are in a democracy. Multiple parties still exist on paper. But what is happening in practice?
• Opposition figures are defecting in droves
• Opposition parties are entangled in endless internal crises
• Political pressure and strategic alignments are shrinking the space for dissent

Let’s stop pretending this is normal.

You cannot have real competition when the opposition is constantly weakened, divided, or absorbed.

You cannot claim healthy democracy when alternative voices are struggling to stay visible, organized, or effective.

And you certainly cannot ignore the pattern:
A system where power keeps consolidating on one side, while the other side keeps collapsing.

This may not look exactly like Abacha’s era, but it is dangerously familiar in direction.

Back then, it was forced consensus.
Now, it looks like engineered dominance.

The method may be more refined.
The outcome could be the same.

A nation without a strong opposition is not practicing democracy, it is rehearsing control.

As 2027 approaches, Nigerians must ask hard questions:

Are we strengthening democracy…
or slowly surrendering it?

PoliticsRe: Maiduguri Bombings: ADC Slams Tinubu’s Absence, Urges Immediate Return by Memphis357(m): 1:14pm On Mar 17
In 2014, Tinubu called it “proof that there was no government.”
Today, he is the government.

And now, silence.

A state of emergency was declared in Rivers State because of political friction.

Yet in Borno, where lives are repeatedly lost, where communities are under constant threat, there is no state of emergency.

Let that sink in.
Nigeria is not officially at war,
yet we are recording more casualties than some countries that are.

So, what exactly qualifies as an “emergency” in Nigeria?

Sadly, in Nigeria today,
it seems that the lives of citizens rank lower than political convenience.

Richtaiwo:
So, because judges are provided with official residences befitting their status, they should stop being judges?

Does Sowore understand that the judiciary is a coequal arm of government? While the heads of the executive and legislature live in official mansions, head of the judiciary should live in 1 room apartments?

Even if previous administrations neglected the welfare of the judiciary, the current administration appears to be addressing it. Criticism should be guided by reason, not a show of madness.
Why haven't they provided Doctors, teachers, engineers and nurses with houses? Abi their work isn't important too??
Anyway, na my prayer point for una be this👇🖕

How many foot soldiers does obi have apart from those online content creators who just support him online for engagement. This is the ONLY way Tinubu knows how to canvas foot soldiers!!
