pls bros.i had since thought i would use my last year's affidavit for my new clearance, . .but when i checked it yesterday,i saw that i had swore that i was in faculty of life science cos then,i was in MCB . . Now i've resolved to collect new affidavits, now will i write college of medical science or faculty of medical science or faculty of dentistry or school of dentistry?

Dentistry na . . There was a time a vacancy was posted in 1 state in the north for a dentist and nobody applied . .. A maximum of 180 dentists are produced in nigeria a year compared to pharmacy's 1000+ which will join the already struggling ones to struggle for employment in the job market

Normal intake for one year is 20. 13 from utme nd 7 from Direct entry, some of the D. E students might be admitted to 200level depending on their results.

the problem is mls has not taken transfer since 2013, they are careful so that they do not exceed the quota given by council, my set only about 5 De students were accepted to make us 35 in 200l. . Except they admit less than 20 which is unlikely cos the max is around 35-40.. ur best bet can be physiotherapy which will kick off this session or pharmacy when ure entering 300. Pharmacy usually absorbs close to 40 transfer students most times. . As for mls to be sincere the possibility of them taking transfer is very slim. ..

yes,it is possible,you can get MBBS after Dentistry(BDS) with 18months in medical school,your BDS will be withdrawn and you will be given MBBS cos it's thesame organization that regulates both.



Your other question about state uni and federal uni,i will say medical training depends on the calibre and medical success rate of the teaching hospital they have . .and also,federal school's teaching hospital are very well respected by the masses e.g UCH,UBTH,LUTH e.t.c hence,more patronage,so a student trained in such hospital will have more experience cos he/she would have experienced wierd medical cases and it will go a long way in helping him/her after graduation . . . . . And also,federal unis are more funded,hence they end up having more medical equipment than state uni teaching hospital. . .so choose wisely

somebody said nineteen thousand people passed the pume exam but Uniben wants only nine thousand, hence the delay.

If true, it means Uniben will have to find a way to screen out not one, two or three but 10,000 qualified candidates.

corroborating my theory . . . .last year all of us that had above 50 but not up to the cut-off of our desired courses were sure of being admitted but was just eager to know "which course" . . .jamb caused everything when they marked people high . . .last year,if you didn't meet up with law's cut-off you might be offered ENL.edu(cos dia was space ,meaning if the department wants to take 200students,those that applied for it in jamb and had above 50 ain't up to 200 ,so the remaining space is filled with those that did not meet up to law's cut-off) . But now even somebody that applied for ENL.edu and ahd 59agg is not in the merit,meaning that the cut-off might be 61 whc implies that about 150ppl had 61 above,and their name is in merit list already,so if you are from edo and had 60 or 59,or you get connections,or you are from an ELDS,you should be expecting your name in 2nd list . .so those that didn't meet up law's cut-off have few spaces,maybe in faculty of foreign languages . .this is just solely my opinion.

that was last year . .and 2013,everything was released together,no 1st or 2nd batch . .but this year'll be different . .those from catchment and those with connectios have not been admitted yet . .i know of an edo boy with 72 going for medicine with 73 as it's merit cut-off not admitted yet,which is almost impossible


last bullet: many people will still get their course of choice in 2nd batch and many won't.

that's what i thought and was even wondering when another friend of mine who got 58 and couldn't make it to the merit cut-off for pharmacy(the course she applied for) said her dad(a lecturer) 'legged' it to med.lab

U.I is the only school that operates on 7point . .most schools use 5point and few use 4point
