themanager: Thanks mgb4real.i just downloaded the app now ,i'll try it.Buh am having a problem with database communication.U know in PHP we use PHP admin/MySql tools for database management. What do u use in java, where do i get to type ma Sql commands and how do i go about it.do u kno wat we call jdbc (java database connectivity)? Most of the sql syntax for database actions will b integrated into ur source code..al needed is just to connect to ur datasource..u can use rdms like ms aces, mysql, or even oracle as ur database bt most people use ms aces an mysql...go and read abt jdbc first! |
kenniojo: i will like to go into the hardware programming.hmmm...c++ is with no doubt a good hardware programing language....rememba windows operatin system which is a system program that comunicate directly with harware is written majorly in c/c++.u can start with that an learn it by heart plz...this is a jorney and persistence matters here...dnt b discourage if u could nt achieve most of ur aim on time...it takes time bro bt pls dont lose focus because it realy pays at the end...goodluck!. |
kenniojo: bro great job you re doing here. May lord continue to bless u.Amenautomation just as the name suggest is a pross of makin automated machine that reduces human efforts. To me, its hardware programing u ar talkin about here and its anoda type of programin on it own. There ar a good number of specialist in this area. I may dive into this area soon wen i start my degree program in computer engineering. All this may sound strange to u are a beginer in programin.... For the aspect of app development, u need to ask urself the typ of apps u wana develop...is it mobile app, desktop app, applet? Java is a good choice in any of these app dev. If its mobile app...java micro edition is ok...if its desktop or applets...java standard edition is okay...there ar a gud number of programin fundamentals u nid to hav b4 goin to java so that u wont get confused along the line..at least u have to kno what a program/software is, memory concept, compiler and interpreter among others...general knowledge of programin wil b nice sha...ask a more specific question if u ar stil confused. Hope this help |
dsypha: dude hw do u cope with java GUI, d tin no won enta mehmmm...graphical user interface!! A very important but yet challenging aspect. Many programmers no longer borda on how to code the design of gui's again bt now focus on EVENT HANDLING of the various component that constitute a Gui. Wonder how? Yeah, its possible. A very powerful feature provided by one of the most sophisticated IDE's (NetBeans) called pallete enable programmer to design Gui's vitualy without writing a single line of code. They only need to handle the events of the various components that constitute the Guis...This however stil require a basic knowledge of Gui component; at least u should kno what a JButton,JLabel etc look like an what they are used for! Although, it (pallete) is a very important tool in rapid software development but may give room to programmers from learning the true nature of this components. In my view...if you are working on an urgent project, USE IT...if not, write all codes yourself in order to be familiar not only with what these components are bt also how they behave. Hope this help |

themanager: Hi guys ,am currently learning java, buh am having an issue with packaging.how do i go about packaging my java software so that i can distribute it easily.this depends on how u want your software/application/program to run on the user's system. I kno two ways of doing this... 1. U can create the .exe version of ur program using software like jar2exe, jsmooth downloadable through google.com...this wil convert ur .jar file to .exe file which u can run on most systems. This .exe version of ur program wil always run from its location i.e. It does not require instalation of d program 2. U can create an installable version of ur program using advance installer downloadable through google bt with a limited period of 30 days...if u try it an u like it, then i may teach u aw u wil use it free for life...Now, this wil create a .msi version of ur program from the .jar file. This .msi version will install the program just like every standard software u see i.e it wil b installed in ur program files on hard drive. You can give the .msi or .exe version to ur friends to try and see... Hope this help! Having more challenge? Ask questions!!! |
