Iinteresting to see this topic being discussed. I tried to do same in January of this year but the thread was taken down for some reason I couldn't fathom. This prompted me to open another thread in the investment section, but not much happened there.

Up until about 3months ago,I would have also said Grenada would be the best option, for most of the reasons gforce already noted, the countries you can access (particularly China), as well as the e2 investor visa to the US you can take advantage of due to the treaty of commerce and navigation with the US that Grenada is a part of.

Currently in talks with a market leader in that investment immigration space, although my own focus is majorly on investing outside Nigeria, as they offer that too. Based on my interactions with them, I would advise anyone looking to go this route to consider a cheaper option that is not on your list, which would be the Canada FSUP - $177k

The only downside is unlike Grenada it won't give you citizenship immediately, but you get permanent residency immediately, and in 3 years you get the citizenship. So in my books, still same end.

Pros
* You immediately become a part of the board of an already vetted and approved start-up. The invested sum above buys you a 10% ownership stake and a seat on the board.
* It is cheaper than the other options and will result in citizenship 3 years post-entry
* Canada also is a member country of the treaty of commerce and navigation with the US,meaning you can also use the E2 investor visa like Grenada
* Canada has a lot of other available visa routes into the US, available to its citizens

Cons
* You dont get the citizenship immediately. You have to wait the 3 years, like other PRs (permanent residents)
* Canadian passport not visa free to China.

Any questions on the immigration or the investment options outside Nigeria, feel free to ask. I should be able to possibly have answers to keep the thread going, cos truly not much is discussed on here about this, and those who have the means may not even know these options are available

My point?

US is only avoiding direct confrontation with Russia for some reasons I will highlight below for you:


1.) Russia is not a developed country, Russia is a medium developed country. Russia have just 2 major well developed cities, with others still lagging behind compared to European and advanced country city standard of today.


The only well developed cities Russia can boast of are; Moscow and St Petersburg. The rest are upcoming and struggling.


But virtually all the 52 states in US are super developed cities. Do you want US to risk that? Would you use your local kai bottle to break a Champagne or Moet drink? Who would lose at the end? Kai Kai will be completely gone and if you lose just 0.1% content of your champagne, na person weh lose all him kai kai to spill 0.1% of your Champagne win you, that's why US de avoid direct confrontation with Russia.


Russia is like Kai kai, while US is Champagne.


2.) Russia is a nuclear armed nation. If US attack them directly, they know US would win, so the best thing to do is to fight dirty by emptying all their nuclear bombs on US, and even though US have the number 1 air defense system on earth, no air defense system is 100% shield, so if Russia send 10,000 missiles into US, at least 500 or more will land in US soil, and US is not ready to lose one US citizen in US soil for any reason, it has never happened to them before and they arent ready to let it happen, not yet.


3.) Protection of their European Allies from Russua's nuclear strike.


Knife in the hand of a mad man is more dangerous than an Ak47 in the hand of a sane man. So that nuclear weapon in the hand of an irresponsible nation like Russia is a threat to global sanity that US is trying so hard to keep.


And if push comes to shove and US have a daring President like Netanyahu or Bush, they will risk it and confront Russia from their military bases all around the world, and if Russia strike US mainland, majority of it would be shot down from outside US soil before it even gets to US. Which goes back to the fact that US is only respecting and protecting the interest of its European and Asian allies from Russian nuclear attack.



US is the father of the world and there is no doubt about that, Russia is only angry that why must it be only them since the end of world war II, but e no easy. Even to develop their country to become a fully developed nation with at least 80% of all their regions and cities becoming super developed has not been easy for Russia, na US with just 10 citizens richer than entire Russia, Russia wan challenge?
