Most players in the race are mostly players with an argument to win. They're never random players. Mbeumo or Kudus aren't winning it this season. Once you're nominated, it means you did something right over the course of the season. For example, if the local champion of last season, Salah were to win it, some people will say it's deserved. Madrid fans will justify for Mabape as well. Didn't win any trophy last season but he was outstanding at individual level.

For me aside Dembele, all of Vintihna, Nuno, Ralph, Yamal, local champ can all win it. They all have a shout.

We were initially worried that he might struggle with playing the ball from the back but he has excelled so astoundingly.

The way he quickly restarts our attack and gives accurate passes from his position is such an upgrade from whatever Ter Stegen offered. I don't know if Joan has missed any pass from the back.

And the way he commands his area. Such a breath of fresh air for Barca. He hasn't shown any sign of struggle with any aspect of his game so far.

Barring any unforeseen major injury, Joan Garcia might go on to define an era at Barcelona and long may it last 😘
